Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.

If I don't make it, please know that I am hoping that you will. Our platforms stand for the rights of many. Keep going. Know that if I'm out, you have my complete support.
The lawyer in Jude questioned how far rumours could actually be slanderous if they were also true – and he wasn’t convinced how much credibility Miss Whitledge’s support could lend his own campaign, either. All the same, he could afford her a little graciousness. Campaigns were gruelling, to say the least, and she was very young. Perhaps she just hadn’t known what she’d be in for, with all this.

S. Whitledge,
Regardless of what people may say, it was brave of you to put your name forward. Change can only ever happen when people make the effort to stand up for their ideals, however hard it proves. You’ve done well to get as far as you have.
