Dear Second Chance –

I do believe everyone deserves a chance at love, even those who might have tried before. I, too, find myself with a bruised heart after my prior courtship fell through due to no fault of my own.

A bit about myself: I am one and twenty this year and was born of wealth, good family standing, and pure blood. I am fond of letters, stories, and dancing, and am proficient in three different instruments and languages.

What can you tell me about yourself?
Sincerely,
Dove

Dove,

Thank you for your letter. By all that you wrote, I find it most improbable that anyone should cast aside a young lady as accomplished as you. Any gentleman should be very fortunate indeed to know you.

Which instruments do you play?

I fear I am not so impressive as you on paper, but, as you asked of me – I am my parents’ only child; my mother passed a few years ago so it is only my father and I. I was a Gryffindor at Hogwarts. I live in Hogsmeade, and work at the Ministry – though my spare time is most often spent on books, which I enjoy but can be lonely. I would love to one day soon have a family of my own.

What would you be looking for, in a suitor?

Sincerely,
N.B.
