I sort of sold myself on this. I'm looking to create a currently living, soon to be dead character who will have complex relationships with people who are still living and just generally make life inconvenient by still being around.

My requirements: MC (or WC), probably Hogsmeade based. Gender and race and age and all are open.

- romantic interest (does not need to involve any actual feelings)

Gah I wish I had something more useful for you! My closest candidate for anything would probably be Zipporah Farley with played sisters, the fam do not live in Hogsmeade but she could at least move there if she were newly married?

Okay, I need at least 1-2 active relationships for this to work. I'm going to list out some more concrete ideas for what that could look like in the hopes it sparks some ~things but caveat that I am still super open to basically everything so don't view this as an exclusive list.

THE MENTOR YOU NEVER ASKED FOR: My character holds an occupation they care about and their death leads your character to move into that spot. My character hassles you to try and get you to do it "right." THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character is employed and meets the requirements for a promotion (or you have an AtO to use).

THE FAMILY NAME AT STAKE: Similar to above, but my character was your sibling and their death leaves you as the oldest son/oldest unmarried woman, and my character is really invested in making sure you don't screw that up. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: you have unplayed older siblings and can sign off on them dying (eg not canons/ other people's wanted ads).

WOULD-BE SPOUSE: Our characters meet and discuss marriage. Severity of conversations is open, from casual to engagement. My character's death leaves you free to look elsewhere... but you're sort of hurting my feelings. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character at least appears marriageable on paper.

CHILDHOOD CRUSH: Our characters knew they couldn't marry (they're the same gender? Class difference? Age thing?) but there were still some ~feelings and those have been complicated by my character dying. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character is emotionally unattached.

BUSINESS VENTURE: Our characters were going to start a business/ invest in something together and now my character's death has... complicated things. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character has any unrealized business/charity/etc interests, or your interested in a career change for them.

BLACKMAIL? My character knows a secret about yours, and you were fairly confident it wouldn't come out... but death has changed the balance of things. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: your character has a secret that someone else could learn.

CO-PET PARENTS: Your character adopts my character's beloved pet after mine dies. This new pet is... a handful. Don't you dare say a bad word about them. THIS COULD BE YOU IF: you want. Literally anyone haha.

Open to ideas that don't fit these categories also! The more connections the better this character could be so please throw things at me!

— Savino (or another Seer pal) foresees the character's death or something tangentially related, tries to figure out the meaning/warn them/save them/otherwise meddle, either Savino is awkwardly like "i told you so :/" if they don't listen or he feels horribly responsible for their death, whatever xD

— Depending on their manner of death, I have healers (Ari, Rommy) who could try and fail to save their life and then feel guilty when the former patient keeps hanging around xD

— Ari also has secrets to be blackmailed about!

— I have people in Bartonburg and/or Pennyworth to have been former neighbours or have fun neighbourly disputes with a ghost?

— If any of my people are in the right bracket to have been friends w/the deceased, I will take an unwilling pet owner anyday~

In that same age range, my men that could have feasibly had an ongoing ~thing would be Alexander Echelon, Desiderius Morgan, Philip Aymslowe (who does have an ad for an existing "emotionally attached thing" but I could retcon some of it away) , Timothy Ainsworth . Leonid Fisk as well but he would not have realized his own feelings for the other man until after his Emrys sexual awakening. He also feasibly could have always had them and just been a la Ford like HE'S JUST MY VERY BEST FRIEND/I JUST HAVE STRONG FEELINGS ABOUT HIS LOVE LIFE, OKAY. XD

Esteban Zavala is also in that age range but that feels more of a stretch since he's working class and dropped out of school.

For women, I can't really think of any that would fit that would not have been able to marry a man in that range/class.

Okay, here is the guy. I have given him one year or less from when he is accepted until he dies an untimely death.

Elias Grimstone He's a Hogsmeade healer so in a good position to possibly discover Ari's secret(s) if we want to go that route. If we do I'm kind of interested in Ari also trying and failing to save his life so that Victor can show up in ghost form at some point and be like '...you did try though, right?' to Ari's extreme mortification xD

The Savino/Seer club thing also sounds super fun and I would love to do that, once I figure out when/how he will die <3
