O.W.L. & N.E.W.T. Results 1891

Judgement Day draws nearer: Soon, students who have completed their fifth and seventh years will be receiving the exam results that dictate their entire future. No pressure. Especially if you're just going to be a wife & mother, then there's really no pressure.

But I digress.

While the examinations are administered by the Ministry of Magic, results are traditionally sent by the deputy headmaster—yours truly! As in previous years, I am delighted to offer a personal touch, aka send you your results, with varying degrees of randomization, via digital owl! A couple of notes:

• Students going into their sixth year will need to meet certain requirements
  
• Certain professions also have score requirements
  
• Once you get your results, fifth years are encouraged to sign up for next year's classes!
  

If interested, please fill out the appropriate form for each character who would like mail! Results will be posted & tagged to you forthwith~

Courses: Astronomy, Charms, Divination, Potions, and Transfiguration.
You Should Know: Has no career goals, intends to be a socialite. Thinks she did well in Divination for certain. She's also a meticulous overachiever in these classes. Interested in beauty potions, literate in three languages, good with mathematics, memorization isn't perfect.

Character: Lillian Avery
Courses: Ancient Studies, Art, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and History of Magic
You Should Know: Has no career goals, but hopes to marry well. Classes were chosen to seem ~interesting~ to prospective suitors. Average literacy, elegant wandwork, thinks she did the best in Charms. Also very disciplined from years of ballet, average memorization skills.

Character: Shona Lukeson
Courses: Arithmancy, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Transfiguration, and Potions
You Should Know: Wants to be a healer! Aside from a blip of distraction towards the end of the year where her former status as betrothed was broken, nothing could keep her from studying. Perfectly literate in English, skilled with mathematics, interested in helping people and being a good person, decent with memorization, thinks she must've done something wrong on the DADA practical. It's up to you whether her dream is actually possible.... >_>

Character: Frida Lestrange
Courses: Herbology, HoM, Potions
You Should Know:

GOALS: Frida wants to get married. I do not care abt her grades.
WANDWORK: Not excellent.
MEMORIZATION: GREAT.
LITERACY: As good as any other bougie rich girl.
MATHEMATICS: Manageable.
POTION: Her best class, probably. She likes making Potions.
INTERESTS: Not being a disappointment, being a good debutante one day.
STRENGTHS: Her best class is Potions.
DISTRACTIONS: She is not the best test-taker, as evidenced by OWLs, which were mostly As, one E (Potions), and one P.
EXAMS: Honestly whatever you think. She only took three NEWT classes because she thought she could pass them, though.

Character: @"Jemima Farley"
Courses: Charms, COMC, Divination, Herbology, History of Magic, Muggle Studies

You Should Know: I have no goals, her grades do not matter to me. Jemima's goals are Looking Cute At All Costs, as such accurate wandwork is not a priority and she is only ever half-assed at best in classes that involve more outdoorsy pursuits, but her note taking and essay answers are hella pretty. She memorises more information than she actually means to by writing and rewriting all the time.

She is not interested in COMC when the creatures are gross (most of the creatures are gross); has no innate talent but enough enthusiasm in Divination to study-group it outside of class and help teach friends it; doesn't try hard in Muggle Studies but has a breadth of ~outside knowledge from her family so is particularly confident in it anyway. Generally better at creativity than factual accuracy. Thinks Professor Skeeter is kind of adorable so probably doesn't take everything in about the plants but also doesn't want to embarrass herself by failing his class >.> Similarly, she is not actually bad at Charms but gets more nervous in practical exams, so if the Charms examiner happened to be remotely Sexy she messed up more than usual.

Character: Cameron Gillenwater
Elective(s): Divination, CoMC, Ancient Runes
You Should Know:

GOALS: Cameron decided halfway through his fifth year that he wants to be a healer, but he also thinks he's more likely to end up a quidditch player. I'd prefer his grades be slightly on he optimistic side.
WANDWORK: Above average.
MEMORIZATION: ... Below average. He does not like memorizing "unimportant" facts.
LITERACY: A good reader, but would be better if he, you know, picked up a book every now and then.
MATHEMATICS: Excellent.
POTION: Historically he's... not good at it, but during his fifth year he spent a lot of time studying because he knew it was important to reach his goals, and his #1 OWL goal was getting a passing grade in Potions.
INTERESTS: Quidditch, dueling, anything that involves using his wand.
STRENGTHS: DADA, Charms, not terrible at CoMC and Transfiguration, either.
DISTRACTIONS: He probably did not sleep very well.
EXAMS: ICly Cameron mentioned how his Potions exam went smoother than he'd expected given that he thought he'd visibly mess up, but did doze off a few times during his HoM exam. Bullshitted his Divination OWL. Overall not as terrible as he expected but he's also Cameron, so.

Elective(s): Care of Magical Creatures & Ancient Runes
You Should Know:
Goals: Ned's fervent goal is to become an auror like his father.
Wandwork: Excellent.
Memorization: Excellent.
Literacy: Dude gives his friends books regularly as gifts. (Except Cameron)
Mathematics: Above Average.
Potions: Above Average.
Interests: Becoming an auror, Dueling Club, recreational quidditch, being a Dad making sure his friends are successful, taking care of his family (especially Anne), Alice Dawson
Strengths: DADA, Potions, Transfiguration, Charms
Study Habits: He's always studying, and he tutors some of his friends.
Distractions: Ned isn't easily distracted, but he probably snuck some looks at Cam to make sure his friend was focused/didn't blow anything up.
Exams: Ned is STRESSED about exam results, but it's likely he did very well, especially in the subjects needed to become an auror.

You Should Know:

Wandwork | Good
Memorization | Fair-Good, unless it's with music, then she's Perfect.
Literacy | Excellent
Mathematics | Good
Potions | Excellent

Interests & Strengths | Cora's one main passion aside from potions is music. Given her synesthesia and perfect pitch, she excelled in musical instruments, and can often pick up a new instrument and have a fairly good grasp on it if left alone for a few hours. Her strengths lie in application BUT not when she's under pressure. If it's just a normal class with a normal test, she's generally fairly good, but when it comes to big tests like NEWTs, it's a crapshot. She got lucky with her OWLs since more classes were on the line, but NEWTs might be her downfall... >.>

Study Habits | idk if I made this up just now but I'm sticking to it from here on out - Cora is a great studier, but has extremely bad test anxiety. I think under normal circumstances she would have done quite well, but given that she was in St. Mungos for a few days in the last weeks before she sat for her final exams, I think it's safe to say she was....not in the best mindset of testing for her NEWTs, and I would personally love to see her do a bit worse than she thinks she did >D

Elective(s): Arithmancy, Care of Magical Creatures, Earth Magic
You Should Know:
CAREER GOAL: Earth Magic Professor, Magical Geologist or Herbologist
WANDWORK: Excellent
MEMORIZATION: Excellent
LITERACY: Above average
MATHEMATIC: Above average
POTION: Reasonably average
INTERESTS: Milos main interests are Herbology and Earth Magic. He loves the outdoors and dealing with nature magic. He also likes creatures, helping people and giving out advice.
STRENGTHS: Care of Magical Creatures, Earth Magic and Herbology. Is rather good at tutoring.
STUDY HABITS: Has excellent study habits and is a steady test-taker. He regularly tutors other students.
DISTRACTIONS: Not very easily distracted.
EXAMS: He should have done super well on Care of Magical Creatures, Earth Magic and Herbology. Other courses he likely has passed with at least Acceptables but I am open to whatever he gets beyond the courses he would need for Milo's current career goals.
