Following the sinkhole deaths of his sister and her husband, Ezra has custody of his 18 month old nephew. He's still deep in grief/figuring out what that means for his life but *I* am looking ahead to when he might possibly have a "this kid needs a mom" crisis.

So! Would like some threads! Maybe nothing will come of this. Maybe a practical, platonic proposal at some point. Maybe some emotional intimacy/becoming close confidantes/ unlikely friends. Maybe very slow-burning and baggage-fraught romance. Again, maybe nothing! Time will tell.

... unmarried women
... MC or WC
... at least not aggressively lacking in maternal instinct
... between 20-35yo
... people with careers are fine but if their career is dangerous and/or so time consuming they're never home that's probably not ideal

Hear me out: if Grace starts working for the Applegate family, I could friend!hurl Grace at him (since she's also very sad with life and I think she'd attach herself to anyone who shows her kindness), but then there's always the ~potential for more

Look I misread which honestly no one is surprised about considering how often I do that hahah. I still leave that then cause she could always marry down. My best option is probably Lorelei, whose job she can literally do out of wherever she lives ('cause she's currently doing so. XD) My single lady with the most maternal instinct is probably Fiona Little but their likelihood of meeting is slim.
