Cadogan Glynn

Fourth Year Ravvie| WCHB |rep 9 | unattached This is Cadogan, a fourth year Ravenclaw and the youngest of the Glynn family. In terms of personality, he's very quiet, slightly awkward sometimes and tends to stick to those who he knows. He likes magical creatures (of course), and has a dream of opening up some kind of sanctuary to save those being trafficked/hunted/whatever. Maybe a Magizoologist. Friends: People around his age who he'd see in classes or others who are Ravenclaws are people he'd definitely befriend. He's good friends with Maeve Buchanan, so anyone who is friends with him would probably be friends with Cad, too. He's worried about keeping his scholarship for the next year (and hopefully beyond for his NEWTs), so he'd steer clear of those who would hurt his chances of that. Avalon Glen: Obviously would know his own family and those connected to them lol Other Things: Crushes, people he might not like, people who want to be connected to the Glen? From my characters I think the best chance of friendships are

Benedict Hunter Gryiffindor in the year above, a very friendly and charming young man whose family are into pets and who himself is very keen on COMC

Bonnie Greyback A fellow Ravenclaw two years below who tends to gravitate more towards boyish pursuits and male friendships than a typical female presenting UC student.

Additionally just because interaction is fun even if they aren't best friends.

Violetta DeCroix is in his year, I'd guess he probably sees her as a snob as she is UC and has a distaste for grubbier classes like creatures and Herbology. You mention crushes so I would be up for playing with that idea because once you get past her class, she is sweet and pretty. I'm also trying to find someone for a bit of a misguided childhood crush for her to test her dedication to her current status quo.

Margaret Wallace is also working class but will be three years behind him when she starts in September. She is shaping up to be the only WC kid in her year so maybe he will notice and befriend her.

Hey Cousin!

I guess by Victorian standards his show counts as 'saving' animals, but he has a bunch of them!

But he has fun stories from other lands and all the crazy animals he's seen!

I can also offer Maddie - she saved a baby unicorn from traffickers - and breeds magical equine and looks after abandoned magical equine - ex magical carriage horses.


Yuri is in his year, so they could be buddies.

Friends: People around his age who he'd see in classes or others who are Ravenclaws are people he'd definitely befriend. He's good friends with Maeve Buchanan, so anyone who is friends with him would probably be friends with Cad, too. He's worried about keeping his scholarship for the next year (and hopefully beyond for his NEWTs), so he'd steer clear of those who would hurt his chances of that.

Other Things: Crushes

Millie Potts would be an ideal candidate for both of these. As fellow Ravenclaws in the same year, they might even be aware of their similar expectations for OWLs, or at least notice a similar sense of drive/purpose in academics this year. Should he be a bookworm as well, or willing to repeat/listen to the gossip around school, he and Millie may have some predisposed bonding over shared interests.

Similarly, they could be too similar to be friends and be rivals instead, or something similar. A frenemy/competitive rivalry could do wonders for their academics this year, and mutually soften some of their social stubbornness. I'm open to any approach, but I do want some Ravenclaw common room threads!

Either way, I think Millie would notice Cad's looks and admire his determination, perhaps to the point of being a little intimidated. Which shouldn't stop Cad from trying to engage, I think we both know by now how Millie's shyness is only a small hurdle.
