What: Candidates' Tea
Who: Hosted by Evangeline Darling, every Ministerial candidate (and their spouse!) has been personally invited. Also invited? Literally every MC and UC household in Britain. Strictly 17+, of course, but you def got a generic invitation in the mail sometime this week.
Cost: —
Where: Darling House, Wellingtonshire, Hogsmeade
Why: Officially? Meet the Ministerial candidates. Unofficially? Relaunch herself upon society.
When: September 3rd (Sunday), from two o'clock until four o'clock
Open house in style, with guests coming and going as they please during this time (though no entry is possible without an accompanying invitation, the footmen have been very strictly instructed!). Tea, cakes, macarons, bonbons, etc. will be served as guests mingle, theoretically meet some Ministerial candidates, and take in the splendor of her newly redone "Grand Parlour", modelled after Versailles but with an overabundance of vases of flowers and a large, taxidermy crocodile.
Candidates confirmed to be in attendance include Aldous Crouch, Lionel Lupin, and Sweetie Whitledge.

What: Emilia Wright’s September Academic Salon
Who: Similarly with the August one, prominent magical scholarly people. Pretty much anyone Upper Class who knows Emilia and she would deem interested in attending.
Cost:None, but your character could decide to fund someone’s research.
Where: The Wrights’ country home
Why: Emilia wants to host scholarly salons.
When:September 20
Similarly to last month’s Salon, there will be different rooms hosting different academic interests. Hosts can sit in only one to debate their area of expertise, or walk around and take a piece of all of them.

What: Fundraising Gala
Who: Notable UC/MC men who are more than likely to vote, with a plus one extended to each guest.
Cost: A ticket that has already been purchased (noted that the funds will go to charity, of course) + whatever charitable donations wish to be made
Where: An Art Gallery in Magical London
Why: Leo is ready to meet people as a Ministerial candidate and show his platform
When: 8 September 1893
Notable society members have been invited to make a donation to receive a ticket for the fundraising gala where a modiste is on site to turn their outfits temporarily into their favorite painting or art piece. The event will begin with Leo giving a speech to introduce himself and his platform, and at the end he will address questions. (Some reporters have been paid off to ask questions that make him look good, and these are most of the questions he will answer before time is up.) After this, Leo will make rounds to talk to guests, schmoozing and all that fun stuff.
Guests may pay to have a portrait painted by one of the local artists hired at the event, or enjoy watching a sculptor create a statue from pure marble with very little use of magic. There is a dance floor set up for anyone interested. The décor is minimal because the gallery speaks for itself and the provided refreshments have been imported from France. A sit down dinner is provided with the ticket and will end the evening.
All proceeds from ticket sales and the event itself will be donated to the Hogwarts Scholarship fund.

What: In the Name of Service
Who: Miss Whitledge and Mrs. Patton are hosting. Anyone who can afford it — see Cost — is welcome to come, though anyone with a low enough reputation will be refused a ticket and entry. Blishwick School alumni are welcome for free, but not granted a free +1.
Cost: Four sickles per person. All proceeds are to go towards funds aiding the Blishwick School of Domestic Magic.
Where: Hogsmeade Memorial Assembly Rooms
Why: Raising funds for supplies and awareness of the Blishwick School of Domestic Magic
When: September 5, 1893
The whole social space is utilized.
The ballroom has been decorated to look like fall has come inside, without looking too cluttered. Magically enchanted leaves will fall, though not touch the guests. The floor looks as though grass and fall seasonal flowers are aplenty in the space, though it will feel as though you are walking through an actual ballroom. The tables on the edges of the room are enchanted to look like trees with flat tops, an array of colors to be displayed for additional 'leaves'. A warm breeze can be felt at random in certain places of the ballroom, with a very light scent of fall.
The second floor has a more subtle approach, though of similar themes. Card games can be played for money, with the house going towards the fundraising.
Food is provided on both floors, though donations are heavily encouraged. Politics may be brought up, but it is not the main focus of the event.

What: Dempsey Card Night
Who: Oz hosting for basically all UC/MC men of good repute.
Cost: No, but gambling on the games is expected and it will look weird if you don't.
Where: An upper floor of the Irvingly Casino that Oz rented out and which is magic-approved for the evening.
Why: #schmoozing
When: Sept 15th
This is basically a casino night, except that Oz is buying the drinks and circulating through the tables to talk politics. There's hired security on the doors to the floor but it's mainly to remind possibly-intoxicated participants not to use any magic as they're leaving the event area.

What: Dempsey Political Forum
Who: Oz Dempsey's campaign is hosting for literally anyone (not that he is thrilled about this)
Cost: No
Where: Hogsmeade Assembly Rooms
Why: Because someone told him he really did have to have at least one event for "the masses" and he's just ticking that box.
When: September 9th, early afternoon
There is tea. There are cakes and small sandwiches. There is Oz. He is notably less comfortable being approached by people at this event but he's doing his best not to wipe his hand off on a towel after each handshake from someone with dirt under their fingernails. This event lasts three hours or until Oz can't stand it any more and disappears.

What: Magical Business Forum
Who: Dempsey hosting for any members of the Hogsmeade High Street or Diagon Alley business owner's associations (any shop owners/managers whose store fronts are on High Street / Diagon Alley, plus maybe a handful that don't have storefronts there but lobbied to be included for whatever reason)
Cost: No
Where: A Diagon Alley tea shop, after they've closed to customers for the day [early evening into the wee hours]
Why: Politics, schmoozing.
When: Monday, 18 September
Did you watch Good Omens S2, where the businessowners of that neighborhood think they're showing up for the monthly meeting where people debate Christmas lights and then surprise it's a fancy to-do instead? That. Ostensibly Oz is just here to listen in and get a pulse on the concerns of the business owners writ large but there is too much booze available for anything productive to occur. This is just going to turn in to a ball without the dancing and everyone is going to be hungover when they show up for work on Tuesday. Also Oz will gladly soliloquize about The Economy for anyone who has an interest in his opinions.
(If you play a shop employee, not a manager/owner, and want to say the manager/owner sent your character in their place for whatever reason, feel free!)

Emilia Wright is hosting a musical soirée in the garden of her country home, while the weather is still kinda nice. There will be live music playing the latest hits, drinks, finger food, the usual jazz.
Except after a point, the band will start playing experimental music. Will your character love it, or hate it?

IC, so Ellory and her circle of friends etc have fun.
When: September 14th
A pretty chill house party for UC folks to enjoy the evening doing UC house party things: talk, drink, play games, a tiny bit of gambling maybe, and drugs, because let’s be real, the rich can afford them and are beyond reproach. Obviously Ellory isn’t giving out joints to the guests, but your character could easily find some from one of the guests.

Where: Great Hall, Hogwarts
Why: To try and give comfort to those who were traumatized by the dragon attacks
When: Sunday; September 17, 1893
Francesca, along with a group of fellow Hufflepuffs, have requested the use of a portion of the Great Hall to decorate with soft couches, cushions (if Professor Drusilla Elderberry wants to donate some of her cozy furniture and blankets for the session that would be great!), a cozy fireplace, a ton of comfort food like muffins, cupcakes, tea, etc. and soft music playing from an enchanted phonograph (thanks to Professor Thomas Pembroke). The purpose is to give students just some time to relax and process their feelings regarding the tragedy alongside comforting classmates. Pets are encouraged to be brought so everyone can snuggle them!

What: For Those We Lost, and Those Left Scarred
Who: Open invite to the public, including public postings. Candidates were sent polite personal invites for themselves and their loved ones, along with other main players in the relief efforts. Sweetie is hosting.
Cost: Free
Where: Safe streets in London, near but not directly at impacted sights of the disaster
Why: An attempt to come together as a country, no matter political views, in the wake of this crisis.
When: September 19, 1893 - from dawn till dusk, though attedees can come and go when they please
No official speeches will be given at any point in time. As the invite and public posting say, should a loved one wish to speak, they will be handed an enchanted bell that will gently sound throughout the crowd and — should they need — be given assistance to increase the volume of their voice to speak of their loved ones or any other such topic they wish to bring forward (though politics of any sort will be cut short and any speakers displaying such behavior will not be allowed to present to the public again). Politics of any sort is highly discouraged and people will be asked to vacate to respect those mourning.
Candles will be handed out at various points by volunteers. Attendees may keep the candles as remembrance or return them to a volunteer when they wish to leave.
