Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I am writing to inform you that I won't be able to play for your team one day. I did not make my house team and theyrefour must be terrible at Qudditch. I tricked myself into thinking I was any good.

The letter arrived alongside a big box of Nat's favourite chocolate biscuits and basically a Ferrero Rocher type chocolate that looks like a snitch.

Natty,
It would take a lot for you to disappoint me, my darling!
Do not think that I am disappointed that you didn't end up in Gryffindor. Hufflepuff is a very nice house, the one our Father used to be in. Quite frankly, I often wonder whether I should have been in Hufflepuff myself. It is the house of hard work, so don't be disappointed that you didn't make the team, because you had tough competition. Hufflepuffs are really not to be contended with, as they put in so much effort in everything they do! Plus, it is really quite rare for first years to make the Quidditch team, neither me or Theo made it on our first year!
Why don't you join club Quidditch with your friends? It is truly great fun, plus you don't have the pressure of performing for the whole school, so you actually get to enjoy it better.
Well, there go all my plans for your future. What are you going to do in the Ministry, become Head of the Quidditch League? I bet you’ll be bored with that.
Shall I write to Captain Potts and tell her she should replace someone in the team with you? I can do that if you like. I’m an important quidditch sponsor, and you’re my brother. Who would you like to kick off?*
I guess you could keep practising all year and try again next year. Or you could never play quidditch or fly ever again, and find a new hobby instead. Like gobstones. Don’t you just love gobstones?
How’s the rest of school, anyway? Have you made any friends?
