Campaign Logs
Please reply below to include your "campaign logs" as part of your character's campaign for Minister, which will help 1) staff decide which characters are allowed on the ballot, & 2) allocate realism votes.
PLEASE NOTE: IC threads will be worth the most weight for realism votes, and for landing on the ballot.
Examples of IC participation include:
- Positive articles in WW or the DP
- Threads where your character is campaigning
- IC endorsements
- Having a campaign manager
- Hosting IC events
- Participating in October 1st's IC debate
- etc.
Please post your log below.
NOTE: it is your responsibility to keep your log up to date. The deadline for any edits is 18/10/2023, but for consideration re: the ballot, you should have things up to date by 01/10/2023.

Dinner with the professors of Hogwarts. Sweetie is giving her campaign pitch, but also asking for advice. In-Progress thread.
08/24/1893: The Homefront
Sweetie's first campaign rally. Having finished the speech and Q&A portion of the event, Sweetie is now among the crowds and co-mingling. This thread is open towards people who have follow up/new questions that Sweetie was not allotted time to address. In-Progress thread.
08/27/1893: Petty Politics
Closed elevator doors. Sweetie finds herself in the elevator with one of her candidate rivals — a.k.a. her boss. The air is awkward. Politics are likely to come up. In-Progress thread.
08/28/1893: Getting a Word in
Sweetie's third campaign rally. Hosting the Q&A portion of event and open to any questions that may come her way. This thread is open to anyone regardless of their opinion of Sweetie. Can come with questions, have side comments to the people around them, or simply quiet reactions. In-Progress thread.

09/03/1893: This Isn't My Idea
Sweetie questions Ozymandias Dempsey qualifications to his face at the Candidates' Tea. His lack of response was her desired outcome, leaving room for those around them to judge if qualifications should have been given. Completed thread.
09/03/1893: I'm so through with compromising
Sweetie just approached Jules Ainsworth in an attempt to talk about Minister office details and get support. Doesn't know Jules just hexed Sweetie's competition. In-Progress thread.
09/14/1893: 1893 Ministerial Debate — Sweetie's Post
Sweetie answers the debate questions to the best of her ability. Mandatory for continuation.

DESCRIPTION
Everything else:
08/24/1893: Tea for Two (Hundred?)
Sweetie is replying to an invitation from Mrs. Darling's tea that doubles as an informal campaign event for candidates to reach out and speak their minds.
09/14/1893: No Nonsense, Time to Go
When the debate is abruptly interrupted by a dragon attack, Sweetie remains calm and — upon the orders of Minister Ross — seeks the aid of the Dragon Restraint Bureau. Displaying calm and orderly conduct under pressure, along with organizational skills and a respectful command of authority.

Everything else:
— CAMPAIGN MANAGER: he has one. Formally it is a DudeBro from Atlantis but it's actually Christabel Daphnel; it was established IC (see thread 4 above), he has asked her advice on campaign matters, and she helps with event planning and execution and did a bunch of debate prep with him (see thread 15 above).
— DRAGON STUFF: First, Oz plays messenger like Ross told him to, but then also uses his inventor skills to help the DMAC modify some spells on the fly; Second, he went and did HERO THINGS like saving a kid (which was talked about in Witch Weekly); Third, he stuck around the triage area until the early hours of the mourning; fourth, he showed up to St. Mungo's a few days later with a new invention to help burn victims. He also attended Miss Whitledge's vigil for a hot second despite having been snippy about it when she wrote to invite him.
— ENDORSEMENTS:
— from Deputy Hogwarts Head Meserimus Valenduris;
— from sometimes-politician-adjacent lawyer August Echelon-Arnost;
— from St. Mungo's Hospital Director Richard Gladstone (Kit DM'd me about it!)
— from Dept MA&C Head and Wizengamot member Edric Umbridge (noted OOC and in the article below)
— from Minister Justin Ross
— Oz reacting to campaign rumors: with Lycoris & in an open thread. I don't really care if either of these count but at least he's interesting enough to have rumors started about him ;P
— Oz didn't see his mistress for a month which means he's taking this seriously (I am joking, I am not arguing for this to count xD)

26/09/1893: Not Exactly Suited to the Wilds — Having accepted Yarwood's invitation to Ministerial candidates, Aldous has not even met the man yet but is already struggling.
Everything else: Not sure if it counts, but Gaius Malfoy publicly declared his support.
Aldous actively prioritizes doing his actual job during a crisis over campaigning, and thinks very poorly of those who continue politicking instead.

Everything else:— 28/09/1893: Chief Warlock Lucius Lestrange "does not think that Mr. Lupin, Mr. Picardy, or Mr. Crouch would be "disastrous to the running of the country". Not disastrous is so close to an endorsement!
— He did not actually, as rumour has it, kill his wife. It's a real low bar here. xD
