Thistle Potts 27 | MCHB | Ravenclaw 76 - 83 | Rep 8 | Hurlable Spinster Florist at The Florist Potts ~ Introduction ~ Thistle is the third oldest of the 8 Potts sisters.  She's the scientist of the bunch, spending her days tending the florist shop or in her workshop experimenting and crossbreeding plants. She’s now officially a spinster and is 85% ok with the significant possibility that she'll never marry. The other 15% is conflicted.  ❧ Friends | All genders welcome but she gravitates more towards perceived-female friends.  She's friendly but chill.  She isn't afraid to initiate but won't seek friendship where it wouldn't be reciprocated.  I feel like she'd know (of) most shopkeepers/merchants on High Street and she jokes about being rivals with apothecaries because obviously fresh ingredients are better. ❧ Ghosts of hurls past | She’s had a few would-be suitors over the years but they all came to nothing for one reason or another, if anyone wants to establish backstory I’m open to it. ❧ Ghosts of hurls future | Maybe. She's not fussed about getting married but I'd love for her to find something organic and fun. ❧ Plants | You need plants?  She's got plants. Temerita Reid 26 | MCHB | Hufflepuff '77 - '84 | Rep 7 | Seer Apprentice Wandmaker Meri is a Seer whose primary personality trait has become wand-nerd.  Her reputation for being a Seer might be more pervasive but her passion is in wandlore and has been since 1885 when she was offered an apprenticeship by Gervaise Ollivander.  Her father died in 1884 and she lives with her muggle mom in Irvingly.  ❧ Friends | Classmates?  Fellow working ladies of her age?  Other people who love magical woods enough to have a favorite tree or four. ❧ Fail Hurls | (emphasis on fail) Meri is getting on in years and her quasi-absentee older brother might be getting ideas that he needs to play head-of-household and get her married.  Or something. Her brother is useless with a dash of shady so I'm open to all manner of suggestions. ❧ Seer Stuff | She is capable of spontaneous visions, big and small, and being asked for a reading or a prophecy makes her visibly uncomfortable.  She also has a long harbored, stubborn distaste for divination and hasn't made any effort to keep it quiet.  Hit me up for all your foresight needs!

Jack Dorset 22 | WCHB | Hufflepuff '81-'86 | Rep 8 | Single Rookie Police Constable ~ Introduction ~ Pure of heart and dumb of ass, Jack is cinnamon roll just trying to make his way in the world.  He lives in Pennyworth with a couple roommates and has a habit of being adopted by/collecting found families for some reason. ❧ Friends | Bros.  Roommates.  Friends in general.  I feel like he’s the kind of guy that could make friends anywhere but most likely working class. ❧ Flirts | Too young to hurl but I think he’s a flirt and a closet romantic.  I wouldn't put it past him to fall hard for someone. ❧ Crime & Hogsmeade |  He patrols Hogsmeade A LOT.  He’s probably a familiar face to criminals and residents alike.  Alexander Waterford 12 | MCHB | 1st year Gryffindor | Rep 9 Inconvenient Orphan ~ Introduction ~ Alexander was orphaned in 1891 when his parents were lost at sea, there's a good chance your character knows it, and he absolutely does not want to talk about it.  He’s recently moved back to London after spending over a year at St Mungo’s Home for Inconvenient Children which was exactly as fun as it sounds.  He’s now his teenage brother, George Waterford’s problem. ❧ Friends | I’m sure he had friends before the great orphaning but likely fell out of contact since.  And he may have made friends in hogsmeade while there.  He hates being patronized or being told what to do so he'd probably try and avoid most adults unless he thought they were Cool™.  I'm down for him to end up befriending literally anyone he might run into on his adventures cus I think he's quietly very lonely. ❧ Shenanigans:  He spent most of his time at the orphanage trying to escape the watchful eyes of his caretakers and absolutely running around Hogsmeade whenever he could manage.  I’m sure he got up to some mischief, if only by virtue of being rebellious and occasionally unsupervised.  I’m sure he will try to do the same in London.  He's a good kid so nothing too bad.

hooo buddy do I need new things

• Alexander - freshly sorted gryffindor and is in the process of figuring out who he is now that he's not defined by his residence at the orphanage.  He's still moody and standoffish and an easy target for bullies so nemesis anyone?  Friends welcome too but it will take something special to really get through to him.
  
• Meri still loves nothing more than wandmaking so all things wands are welcome but recently she's been reluctantly exploring the theory that suppressing her Sight is what makes her visions so chaotic.  I would love to explore that cus she absolutely hates it XD
  
• Jack is still my favorite so I'll take anything with him but as a constable he might be especially useful in your SWP/murder needs.
  

Thistle and Louisa are also open for new threads but i don't have any actual ideas for them so they don't get their own bullets.

FOR MERI: So I have my own Meri (LOL) who is around your Meri's age, just a few years older. They're in different places, but Meredith will befriend literally anyone!

FOR JACK: I miss our Jack/Faustus threads, if you'd still like to do a thread with them!

I don't think I have anything for Thistle, but I have Irene for your Louisa anytime they wanna geek out about paintings! I want one of my characters to throw a Halloween event, we could brainstorm something for Irene/Louisa to do with the Portrait Gallery? Maybe haunted house and give (re: draw) all the portraits costumes and make them dress up xD

Alexander: James Fletcher is in his house but picks on most people! Either they pick on him back and they become friends or he just bullies them lol.

Meri: We have Seers club underway but I've just realised we haven't even done a one on one Savino/Meri if you want a thread w/just them as well! ALSO I have your local friend-in-law Tybalt xD

Louisa: Still happy to do anything stated in her original introduction!!

Hey Fawkes:

The only connection I would possibly have for Temerita Reid (Meri) is Cordie!

• Cordie Middlemiss was in the same year as Meri and is also a part of the Middle Class, though the only difference is that Cordie's a Muggleborn. She, too, was a Hufflepuff and started Hogwarts at around the same time, so these two may or may not have seen each other all the time. Cordie is now an Art Instructor at Hogwarts and has worked there since 1892 after gaining experience as an Artist before getting hired. She has been happily engaged to Salvatore Howlett since the summer following her first year of teaching (1893). I'm open to seeing how these two would interact or would have interacted if they'd talked before.
  

Cordie also happens to have been a year below Thistle, even though they're around or are the same age and in different Hogwarts houses. Like Meri, I'm open to seeing how Cordie would interact or would have interacted with Thistle if they'd talked before.
