Emrys was surprised by her response, but relieved, too. He'd been expecting a volley of questions once he'd opened the door to them, and because of that he didn't have any sort of prepared speech to deliver her. Still, the tone of this conversation felt better than the one last night. This wasn't an interrogation — not yet, anyway.
