Appearance:   Prosper stands tall at 5'11", with a lean, muscular build. He has dark skin and close-cropped, tightly curled black hair. He is right-handed. He wears primarily muggle suits in bright colors. He is not a naturally expressive person, but his smile is genuine when he offers it.
History:1848-1858: Prosper is born the eldest of the Cresswell siblings, and grows up in the country. He becomes friends with Herbert Fudge from a young age, and has a generally uneventful and normal middle class childhood.
1859-1860: Prosper starts at Hogwarts and is sorted into Ravenclaw. He excels in more theoretical magic, and is generally a sociable person when in school.
1864: Prosper sits his OWLs and begins to suspect that he is not entirely wired the same way as other boys his age, in terms of attraction to women.
1866: Prosper sits his NEWTs, begins to work as the apprentice to a magical architect, and eventually confirms via a rent boy that he is definitely not wired the same way as other men his age.
1870: He's a little young to get married, but she's a friend of the family, and he gets along with her well. Prosper secretly hopes that maybe things will be different once he is married, but verifies that this is not true.
1871: Prosper begins the first of a long list of homosexual affairs during his marriage.
1872/1873: The Cresswell twins are born. Prosper does not return to his wife's bed after her recovery, thinking that two children are enough.
1874: Victoria becomes openly suspicious about Prosper's no longer having sex with her.
1875: Victoria's suspicions are confirmed when she goes through Prosper's office and finds love notes between him and another man.  Hostilities open between the married Cresswells. She does not reveal Prosper's secret, either because of remaining fondness or because it would ruin her children.
1882: Prosper begins work on the Sanditon resort with his lifelong best friend, Herbert Fudge. When the Sanditon Terrace is completed he moves his primary residence, claiming to need to be at the Sanditon for his work — which is not untrue, except that he really wants more space for his homosexual affairs.
1883: When the Sanditon opens, Prosper stays there. Frankly, both he and Victoria prefer things this way, and their relationship may be slightly more amicable with more space. The twins go to Hogwarts.
1883-1890: Prosper continues to live and work at the Sanditon as an architect. Herbert "dies" in 1887, but sticks around as a ghost, so Prosper luckily does not have to mourn him. At the end of 1890, he rescues a rent boy he occasionally sees after the boy is mauled by a werewolf, and feels a little weird about it.
1891: Prosper prepares for the twins to finish Hogwarts.
