I've been tempted to bring Gertrude back from years ago, but I didn't really know what she'd do because I feel like her story was well wrapped with her achieving her goals. But I miss her angy political vibe (while Bertie is meant to scratch the political itch, he isn't angy about it). HOWEVER, I would be keen to bring her back as a newlywed with the Walter storyline. I can imagine her falling in love and wanting to get married but she is NOT wanting to have children anytime soon because her career is her life.
