Appearance: Dark of features, Claude does not differ in looks from most of his family. He has deep blue-green eyes, one of few things he does not share with all of his family members. His hair is a deep, rich brown that appears almost black in most lights except the bright sunshine. With a fair complexion (from hiding inside all day), his dark features stand out even more. He has heavy eyebrows, a sturdy jaw and some very typical stubble to round out his relatively handsome facial features. Claude also has a fair amount of scars from his ministry job as an unspeakable. .

When not at work, he is dressed impeccably, but very plainly. He does not want to stand out in any way most of the time, so he wears nice dress shirts, suits and robes when necessary. Naturally right-handed, his job requires him to be ambidextrous and it came quite easily in training. It also requires him to be quite fit, which makes him look healthy for his 5' 10" frame.

History:
[August 16th, 1859] | Claudius is born the first son and child to Lucius and Alexandria Lestrange, woo and heir. Oh boy, the pressure. Siblings follow after decent gaps, but it’s all pretty irrelevant to Claude as he spends his time reading and tinkering, soaking up lessons from the governess eagerly before Hogwarts.


[Hogwarts 1870 - 1877] | To no one’s surprise really, Claude is sorted into Ravenclaw, which is at least not frowned upon in his family, but not a Slytherin. He doesn’t mind too much, he knew that would happen. His school years pass without any excitement whatsoever. He does well in everything, he does not want to or get the responsibility of being a prefect, so that’s a relief. He makes a few appropriate friends, has a fling with a classmate who is not family approved, but it goes nowhere.


[Post-Graduation and the Ministry] | Claude knew what he wanted to do from third year on and made sure that he was well-prepared and ready for the life of an Unspeakable upon graduation. His academics backed him up and he went straight into the department with an internship followed up with a full position in the department. His mother passes in an unfortunate accident in 1884. Claude procures himself a modest home in Wellingtonshire to distance himself from the family thumb just a little bit. Siblings come and go at Hogwarts, sisters marry, his father remarries, and all the while Claude quietly keeps to his job and himself, continuing to work in the Department of Mysteries. He should have gone up from promotions, but declined, not wanting the responsibility, but knows he’ll have to make a move sometime to appease his father.


As his thirtieth birthday approached so did the idea of settling down, which was taken care of by his father, since Claude had zero interest, and he wound up engaged to his own cousin, Ellory Pendergast. It could be worse. Now his wedding looms and Claude is probably in for one hell of a ride.
