Appearance: Standing at average height, Leo prides himself in his appearance. He has curly brown hair that he keeps trimmed and short, along with a five o’clock, because without it he has a baby face. His eyes are blue. His fashion is a mixture of muggle and wizarding robes, with a tendency to learn toward darker colors. While left handed, Leo tends to force himself to use his right for everything - he’s forced to hold utensils with his left, which annoys him to no end.
History:
Childhood
1860: Timoleon is born. A second son, a spare to the heir. Life moves on quickly as a nanny, and then a governess whisk him away to care for him. He rarely sees his parents. Father is strict, mother is disinterested in raising them. His childhood is spent trying to be in the spotlight. Timoleon likes to be noticed as a boy: to anyone he interacts with, he wants to remain in memory for something special. He likes to be the leader of the pack in an effort to impress his peers that he’s going places. He wants to build a dynasty.
1870: A late bloomer, Leo’s first burst of magic comes at ten years old. In a jealous fit that his brother received his Beauxbatons Academy of Magic letter before him, Leo made everything written on the letter invisible. There’s a collective sigh he’s not a squib.
Beauxbatons Academy of Magic
1872: He finally follows his brother to attend Beauxbatons after having to wait an entire year to turn twelve. His first few years are similar to many others: making friends, studying magic and trying to prove to be the best that he can be. Leo joins clubs because he likes to be a leader. He studies hard because he likes the attention, and wants people to come to him for help. He likes it when professors know they can call on him. He likes to be a know-it-all. (And if he doesn’t know the answer, he’ll talk in circles until others believe he does.)
1877: Puberty hits, and Leo spends a lot of time flirting with girls. He learns spells just to impress them. He becomes a prefect, and abuses the power, handing out detention and convincing girls to sleep with him in abandoned towers because who would catch them out after hours? He certainly wasn’t going to turn himself in.
1879: Graduation. Finally. He leaves with little fanfare. Haskell dies in a splinching accident on the way to watch it. How terrible. He doesn’t shed a tear and basks in being the eldest son now. He couldn’t ask for a better graduation gift.
Early Adulthood
1880: He tours the continent and makes it a goal to find someone to bed in every country he visits - he succeeds, and has many new names under his belt when he finally returns home. A few months later a German girl swears she’s with child. His family pays for the problem to go away because there will not be a bastard child running around. He’s warned to get his life together and stop being an embarrassment. He wasn’t very good at mourning.
1881: Suffocating under his parents thumb, Leo moves to join his uncle and family in England. He lives with them, briefly, until he’s able to get a job as an intern with the Department of Law Enforcement. Then he rents a flat in London. At least he remembers to wear black.
1884: Finally, a promotion to a clerk. He doesn’t like the job, but he can move up at least. He focuses his attention on moving up the career ladder.
1888: He moves from clerk to junior lawyer, to lawyer. Leo isn’t sure how he feels about the job, but he puts his all into it because he absolutely needs to be known as the best lawyer all around. He comes in early, stays late and people begin to wonder if he actually has a home. His dedication works.
Presently: In 1891, he’s promoted to assistant head. Now, he just needs Murdock Greyback to get out of his way so he can run the entire department.
Personality:
Timoleon is a good enough friend as long as it does not require much effort or sacrifice on his end, leaving his true friend group small. Family is what comes first, although it’s more about him. He is prone to receiving and not giving in most of his relationships; when he does have to give something, whether it be attention or something physical, he enjoys making a spectacle of it to turn the attention back toward himself. He enjoys being the center of attention, because he likes being seen by people and talked about, especially in a good light. He can be quite the rake, changing women like he changes socks, seducing them into bed, into the faux of a relationship until he was bored with them, where he cast them aside until the false pretenses of focusing on his career, because truly, who didn’t love a man with drive?
