Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Mrs. Diana Abbott
XXX
Newly married to Mr. William Abbott and a née Fawley. I shall endeavor to make her acquaintance, as I'm sure she's eager to put her hosting skills to good use this upcoming summer and I would not wish to miss an invitation!
Miss Nora Abercrombie
XX
One of my dearest friends. She will likely find happiness in circles unreachable to myself, but I have not given up hope that her happiness might soon lead to my own. I hope to see her married off to the Lestrange boy.
Mrs. Annabeth Adlard
X
A muggle, even if she is married to Mr. Adlard. Who would take a muggle's word over a witch's anyways?
Miss Titania Allaway
XX
A healer and a bit old. Still, she seems to have caught the eye of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. It's probably to keep an open mind where she is concerned and smile when she passes. Who knows how society might view her in the years to come?
Mrs. Mars Asteroid
X
What kind of women tries to dress as a man!?!?
Miss Madeleine Backus
X
Would not even make the list if not for her determination to force her way into society. Fortunately she is no threat; she has nothing to recommend her to any bachelor worth marrying, and a poor pedigree that most debutantes would avoid if they know what's good for them. To be seen anywhere near her is painful enough!
Mrs Earth Beck
X
She's a herbologist and no good for social matters, anyways. Her family is odd, but she seems fine enough.
Miss Elsie Beauregard
XX
Does not partake in the bustle of the season. It's almost disappointing; I could see us as friends!
Miss Begonia Belby
X
There are rumors of her scandals, though none that have been proven. Still, having a werewolf for a brother is enough to see her dismissed by most.
Miss Elladora Black
XXXX
A bit intimidating, even for a spinster.
Mrs. Ursula Black
XXXX
Connected to charities and women's groups, and the wife of the headmaster. Best to stay on her good side.
Miss Genevra Blackwood
XXXX
Was in my year but a Gryffindor. Popular in quidditch circles and a frequent hostess. Likely to marry well, and if the rumors are true, a pureblood. (Best to keep her away from Mr. Longbottom!)
Miss Rosamund Bones
XXX
Was in my year but a Gryffindor. She might have been society's darling if not for her questionable choice to pursue healing. Still, she's from a good family and her friendship is welcome. Unfortunately I might not have a chance to solidify one with her!
Miss Loretta Browne
XX
A few years my senior and still unmarried. She's a bit awkward in conversation, lacking any charm or grace that is required of any debutante. Hopefully her parents make her a decent match, and hopefully to a man I've not interest in.
Miss Elizabeth Cardew
X
Hardly worth mentioning. Her brother was a Quidditch World Cup competitor, but she works at the museum.
Miss Henrietta Cartwright
XX
Another one of my dearest friends. Her family is wealthier than mine, but she does not possess the poise and charm required to ensnare a gentleman's attention without assistance. I hope to see her married to a man with eligible friends—or better yet, brothers.
Miss Tabitha Chevalier
XXXX
She is too handsome to be a friend, but handsome enough to steal the attention of any man who takes an interest in me. Let's hope she keeps to the hospital and away from the social scene.
Miss Clarissa Cosgrove
XXXX
A finished debutante and a pureblood. It is likely that a number of eligible bachelors have their eyes on her, and it would do best to be wary of any gentleman whose gaze on her lingers a little too long. I have no desire to be made a fool of.
Miss Hope Crawford
XXXX
A finished debutante, but a friendly one. There is no harm that could come from befriending her.
Mrs. Melody Crouch
XX
A mess in her own right, but would it would not necessarily be damning to be seen in her company. She eloped with a known rake instead of following through with the respectable match that was arranged for her. Scandal aside, she must lack all sensibility!
Miss Adrestia Dantés
XX
A mystery. Best to keep both eyes open while she's around.
Miss Caroline Delaney
X
An American. She's courting Mr. Evander Darrow, a man who I personally have no interest in. I find it unlikely that our paths will cross often.
Mrs. Ophelia Devine
XXXX
Not an expressly unfriendly woman, but one whose poor opinion might find me blacklisted in certain circles. Best to keep to her good graces—or better yet, secure her friendship.
Miss Shera Draego
X
Disowned and a hospital employee. Not a threat. Best to avoid her, really.
