FAUSTUS PREWETT

The firstborn to his generation of Prewetts, Faustus had a great deal of expectation upon his shoulders—expectations he met across the board. After doing well at Hogwarts, he became an auror in an effort to clear his father's name—which he succeeded in doing! He married the right sort of woman from the right sort of family, and as far as anyone is concerned, was quite in love with her; he remains a dutiful father to their three children. He has remianed quite protective of Harriet Prewett (not that that woman needs any protection...) and his sisters regardless of age, and does his best to guide his younger brothers (with mixed results). Today, if not involved in the auror office, he has moved on to the investigation department. Widowed six years ago, he is currently single or courting. The pictured PB is Chris Hemsworth with alternatives to have light or red hair.

FELIX PREWETT

Felix has always been close with his twin, in spite of the fact that he has next to no interest in Quidditch.  What he does enjoy is a good bit of gossip—he is forever nosing about the business of others. This translated to a job at the Daily Prophet, where he writes primarily on crimes and political matters. Prudent investment of his inheritance allows him to live reasonably comfortably as a columnist, though Felix knows he will need an heiress to live the lifestyle he most wants. The ideal will be UCAB or MCPB, born no earlier than 1868. Unfortunately for him, marrying a woman has never been particularly high on his to-do list given the fact that he is homosexual (a fact he has managed, thus far, to keep under wraps from everyone). An identical twin, his PB is Liam Hemsworth.

THE RAVENCLAW

A mischievous, curious lad for much of his life, the Ravenclaw was always the one most dedicated to knowledge. He downgraded his relationship with the others to “friendly acquaintance with occasional bro week-ends” after beginning at the Ministry and falling in love with his work; as such, while he did not cut Julius, they still aren’t close as they once were. He likely comes from a Sacred Twenty-Eight family, and is a bachelor. PB is wide open, but pictured is Henry Golding.

The sister of Acacia Ruskin. She attends Hogwarts, and her house is Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Having to deal with two sisters who have always been protective in their own way, Orinda may be the rebellious one of the siblings, though that is open.

News of her mother's death has recently come to the sisters at Hogwarts, and her reaction is up to player. With the half-breed ban recently lifted, yet some tension still in the air, the youngest Ruskin sister has a lot on her plate. She was previously played twice, though is open for changes.

OCTAVIA "BRYNN" MALFOY

The youngest of the Malfoy children and Gaius' lone living sibling, Brynn was brought up in a traditionalist family and has thus internalized most, if not all, of those values. Though in the past she has been quite bratty, she does let her more mature, compassionate side show around her brother (with whom she is close) and his family. Though she technically lives with her parents in the English countryside, she frequently spends extendid visits at Gaius' Wellingtonshire home. She has a tentative, but friendly relationship with November. Brynn became engaged over the Christmas season in 1888, but her fiance died rather dramatically in March '89, one month before their nuptials, tossing her into mourning and explaining why she's still unattached at 24 which she is out of now, huzzah! Hera laid down the rule that Zeus could not have contact with his son or make anyone aware of the truth.

RUBY URQUART

Ruby Urquart lived generally a charmed life... until 1887. She did not take at all to her father's chosen wife (though took it equally badly when Miss Lovegood left him at the alter), and then her sister became a werewolf, impacting Ruby's life and relationships immensely. Though she and Holliday were always more friendly acquaintances than anything, the past two years have seen them become good friends. The suggested PB is Page Hurd. She was previously played.

EMILIA MOONY

Kit’s estranged wife, Emilia has a proper Ministry job outside the DMLE. During happier times, the two complimented one another well: “Though both were in possession of very strong personalities, her pragmatism tempered his rashness, and his outgoing nature helped to open up her own reserved one.” Though she did not ask him to leave after the incident, she did not ask him to return, either, for though she’s loyal at her core, she doesn’t put up with physical, verbal, or emotional abuse. After moving on from a similar situation in Hogsmeade, Ester has settled into life in London with a friendship group of free-thinking, free-loving, pleasure-seeking artists of all kinds. There is much laying about, drug-taking and debauchery here: none of these characters care much for convention. The below will probably all be somewhere between their twenties and their forties in age and of middling rep or below, but names, faces, sexuality and ethnicity etc are pretty open. If you have an existing character who you think might slot in nicely to the group, get in touch as well - the more the merrier!

He chose to immerse himself in his passion over making a steady living as an art tutor, and most enjoys painting, although he has yet to have any major critical successes in the field. To make ends meet in the meantime, he sells himself out as a ‘photographer’ and offers above-board portrait sittings, as well as producing pornographic photos and illustrations to sell to the Writer’s friends. He is unmarried, though he and Ester have some sort of on/off friends-with-benefits arrangement. Charming, though not a romantic in the slightest, he will however go to any lengths to pursue a new muse when he finds himself ‘inspired’ by a perfect new face, even if it means ambushing them in the street. Owner of a small bookshop in a seedy street, “Maurice” purports to sell second-hand rarities and the like, though what he is prouder of is the backroom of the bookshop with the largest collection of erotic, inflammatory, or otherwise censored texts one can find in magical London. He’s even written a few banned bestsellers under a nom de plume himself. He otherwise keeps under the radar by operating a delivery service by owl-post, and knows how to be discreet with customers and on the street. Privately, he is a great friend of every dissolute, and as fun as the best of them - though is also a loan shark with a ruthless streak and a dark side, and the consequences of owing him money might be worse than debtor’s prison. Any gender. With a possible background in healing or potioneering, the “chemist” now makes a living in scamming people with quack medicine and in dealing drugs. They are a bit of a flake, but Ester and co. count on them nevertheless to always supply the best opium; and if anyone needs a back-alley abortion they know to go to the chemist, too. Their intellect is wasted somewhat on the rest of the group, and they like to annoy the others by trash-talking the arts - but they are nonetheless a loyal part of the group, and annoyingly in love with one of the others. THE HARLOT

Unlike Ester, who grew up comfortably, “Georgiana” had a tough childhood, and emerged from it under no illusions about the world, but with an uncanny knack of always landing on her feet. A prostitute by profession, though she dips her toe into the modelling world as well, she and Ester enjoy butting heads about their differences and occasionally squabble over men, but for all their bickering they are best friends, and Ester trusts her more than anyone else. THE PATRON

The one with the connections - and a seemingly bottomless purse - “Hadrian” toes the line of respectability in the UC social world with a scent of scandal, just enough to shock, to seem ‘radical’ and ‘exciting’. He might have some kind of emotional damage, character weakness or a physical injury in his past that initially led him astray, but presently he is largely more interested in morally corrupting others, and generally stirring the societal pot. On the private level, he doesn’t particularly care who he mixes with, as long as they appreciate his witty repartée. (He enjoys giving the Writer sly suggestions for the next society darling to crudely parody in his erotic fiction.) His job status and marital status are totally open, but on the down-low he hosts some risqué parties to introduce his likeminded upper-class associates to these friends of the demi-monde. Any gender. Slightly younger than the rest, the “outcast” did not leave the life they knew by choice, but rather those who knew them turned their backs on them. Getting kicked out can have been for any reason you imagine that was no real fault of their own - were they a squib in a pureblood family? Questioning their gender? Discovering their sexuality? Illegitimate? A victim of abuse? etc - and they are finding it hard to come to terms with because if they had had a choice, they never would have left. Now, though, they are trying to learn to be more comfortable with themselves - no one would call the group good role models, but they are more accepting than most of society! The “outcast” is lodging in the area and has found casual work/some artistic talent of their own with one or more of the group. Reserved for Kit!

Either way, Philips mother thinks they are a thing and thinks her son is gay (he's bi but still) since he has never shown much interest in holding a womans interest.

I am totally open for this being a new developing thing, especially if you want to squeeze an existing character into this!

Mr. Upperclassman was in his seventh year when shit hit the fan for Poppy. In her third year, she formed quite the crush on him and he was well aware of it. He even seemed to encourage it, enjoying watching her blush whenever he flirted with her. When 1879 rolled around, the two wound up being intimate while on a Hogsmeade trip. While on Christmas break, Poppy figured out she was pregnant and hoped to keep it hidden. It didn't stay hidden. After being sent to the infirmary for what was severe morning sickness, it was discovered that she was pregnant. She was expelled but she kept Mr. Upperclassman's name out of it, instead blaming a family employee. He was made aware she was expelled and why, terrified he would be getting the boot as well but it never came. It was the last he saw of her. Now near his 30s, he's got a good life. Whether he's married or not is up to the player. Though, being married and with a wife struggling to get pregnant could be a dramatic twist. Either way, he has run into Poppy while their son was with her and the similarities are undeniable. How he reacts to it are up to the player. What happens in the end is totally fluid and is up in the air so it can develop naturally IC. PB totally open though should be brunette with brown eyes.

GARETH TIMMONS

Gareth has always had a decent life despite being a known bastard. He's got a quiet yet kind temperament. He looks far more like his father than he does his mother. The only thing he really got from her beyond his demeanor is her lighter eyes. He'll be turning ten this year and will be an incoming firstie next year. He's never really asked about his father, content with his lot in life. He was with Poppy when she ran into his father after all those years. He caught on something was up with the situation but has been hesitant to ask his mother about it. I have a strong preference for the suggested PB but am open to other options. He should have dark hair and light eyes though.

They formed an easy, amicable friendship and he may or may not (but probably does) have feelings for Eva. She likely opened up to him about all of the drama that lead her to Arizona (probably over a whiskey or two). She's always been a guy's girl to begin with so this is unsurprising.

Consider Cassia the moon to Cora's sun. While not twins, Cora feels closest to Cassia, and was rather disappointed when Cassia was sorted into Hufflepuff as opposed to her Gryffindor. She is a vivacious and vibrant student, though her worst subject is potions, something that she constantly goes to Cora for. When younger, she often looked up to Cora for advice and guidance, though is now coming into her own and perhaps is the one to give Cora guidance more often than Cora is willing to admit. While loving of her sister, she was less affectionate towards @"Beatrix Borgin" and thought her cruel and mean; she understand why Cora became friends with her, but doesn't hesitate to tell Cora she could choose better friends. She is tone-deaf, and often likes to torture Cora with this fact given her sister's perfect pitch and synesthesia. Her current goals are to ace her finals this year and also make sure Cora doesn't feel too abandoned without Trixie. Suggested PB is Miya Cech, with alternatives to be Asian.

CAMILLA ZABINI

Camilla was born on a Saturday (Ama), and named in part for her father (Cosmina). The sibling closest in age to Bellona, Camilla has always been the more outspoken and rambunctious of the two, though favours her father’s more conservative values. She grows increasingly frustrated by the fact that the men she wants don’t want her (or at least, their families don’t) and often clashes with her father over the lavish (and expensive) events she hosts in their London home.  Whether or not she secretly remains in contact with her mother is up to you.

PB is open, but should reflect her mixed heritage; pictured is Logan Browning. She is not an animagus, insisting she doesn’t care for the idea but secretly too frightened to try. Reputation of 7.

The younger sister of Frida Lestrange. Fiery and bold, it was only her sense of entitlement and prejudiced nature that convinced everyone that she too would end up in Slytherin. It came as a surprise to everyone—and a relief to Frida—when she was sorted into Gryffindor. Struggling to make friends within her house with her discriminatory beliefs, Meta may or may not have shifted her outlook on the world since entering Hogwarts. Since their father's death, she and her sisters have lived with their Uncle Priam. She could be a potential "frenemy" for Holly Scrimgeour. Her reputation is likely a 9.

Born Hermione Potter, she has long been, by all accounts, rather perfect. She bore her husband eight healthy children, has a charitable and loyal disposition, and has remained scandal-free for almost sixty years. She dotes upon her grandchildren and spends time with the poor...and can be rather meddlesome (unintentionally so, most of the time) where her children's happiness is concerned. Though she typically lives with her husband, she is prone to inviting herself to stay with her daughters when she feels they need her. The suggested PB is Elizabeth McGovern.

THE SLYTHERIN

Julius’ closest friend growing up, and the one swiftest to cut him after the Scrimgeour family drama. The Slytherin has always been ambitious and was the de facto leader of their group growing up (think the James to Julius’ Sirius), though this dynamic levelled out as the boys grew into men. His ultimate goal is to become—and remain—Minister of Magic. He likely comes from a Sacred Twenty-Eight family, though his birth order is flexible. He might be married or engaged, but not betrothed. He does not work in the Deaprtments of Mysteries or Transportation. PB is wide open, but pictured is Harry Lloyd.

FREDERICK "FREDDIE" PREWETT

The youngest of the Prewetts, Freddie has always been quite lucky. He lacks Fitz's recklessness but still possesses his try-anything attitude; he is as hardworking as Faustus but much more jovial. His dedication to his family, too, has benefited him over the years—he lets a house in Wellingtonshire for less than market value from his sister Felicity, and had a smooth road into a Ministry occupation thanks to Faustus. While still a smidgeon young, he could reasonably take on an age-appropriate MC wife now, though will need to become a bit more noteworthy to merit a bride of his own class. Stella Beauregard is a commanding figure in her family. Her husband travels often for work is not home, which is no longer as taxing as it used to be now that all of the children are out of school. Elsie is her current task, now that Adella is married (though her oldest daughter's lack of children is concerning), but Lottie is also on her radar for the social scene. The fact that Elsie works irks Stella, but she has never outwardly forbid it. She is a well-respected governess herself and hoped Elsie would lean toward the same, since she avoids social situations at all costs.

Veronica Gallivan nee "Harkiss" is a witch born in 1859. She is Nathaniel Gallivan's second wife and the stepmother to his older children. She also had two children with him, Nathaniel II in 1882 and Selene in 1883. She discovered her husband's lycantropy in 1887. As of the autumn of 1888, she is publicly a widow, though she knows that Nathaniel isn't actually dead, just decided to diseappear.

Veronica is a kind and patient woman. She tried hard to become friends with Theodore, but he kept pushing her away. As for her relationship with Cecily, the two are very close.

She has met a man who, thinking that she is a widow, might want/try to court her. However, with her knowing that she isn't actually a widow, she could have conflicted feelings about it. Maybe she wants to live a new life, but she feels like she needs to stay loyal to her husband?

COSMO ZABINI

Born to his mother’s old money and his father’s new money status, Cosmo Zabini never wanted for anything. He grew up in England before travelling extensively, ultimately settling down with a foreign bride with whom he was besotted. A blood purist, he was devastated and betrayed with the truth of her bloodlines became clear, and divorced her swiftly—though privately, it pained him to do so. Feeling pressure from his family and his own internalized purism, he swiftly remarried and his wife produced a son for him before perishing. He doted upon Sebastian for his brief life, and was quite shocked to lose him in the Laughing Plague (which Cosmo also contracted).

In spite of their tainted bloodlines, he genuinely loves all his children. He does not see his desire for pureblooded issue to take away from that in the slightest. Personality-wise, Cosmo is traditional, fair, jovial, compassionate, and shrewd with money. Though he does not have a traditional profession, he might invest and/or be a member of the Wizengamot.
