As you have no doubt surmised by now, my trip to India did not go as planned. Please rest assured that I am alive and, now, safe—though the circumstances surrounding my rescue here in Mongolia are rather a long story, and best saved until I return home. I am quite certain this letter will reach you before I do, for I have refused quite adamantly to travel home via portkey. Instead, I shall be travelling by train, which I'm told shall take an unreasonably long time, but is almost certainly less likely to strand me in the wilds. I am eager to see you once again.
