Dueling '90: Jemima Farley vs. Clementine Rookwood
#1
January 4th, 1890 — Headquarters of the London Society for the Practice of Combative Magic
@"Jemima Farley"
Clementine Rookwood

Given her recent employment, it was not surprising that Andromeda didn't recognize either of these Hufflepuffs beyond knowing their houses. And that was just because of the simple aid of being told beforehand. Regardless, she smiled kindly at both before going through the rules and gesturing for Mademoiselle Farley to begin.

72 hrs to post, MJ!

Jemima certainly didn't know how she'd gotten here! Her third duel of the day! It made no sense at all; and somehow it was already far better than the others, because this time she was up against Clem. (Clem would, she thought - hoped - forgive her anything. Jemima had, after all, done worse.)

In any case, she was perfectly happy to go easy on her friend. Rictusempra would only make her buckle with laughter. If the tickling charm worked.

Clementine beamed at Jemima, having not expected either of them to have made it so far in the duels. It was exciting, really.

She mouthed a 'good luck' to her friend as they went through the formalities.

"Protego," she attempted to cast with a grin. If she could block out the spectators, it could be easy to think the two Hufflepuff a were just practicing like in classes.

Both spells were rather well cast for their level, but ultimately, the defensive spell proved successful in it's function. "First point to Mademoiselle Rookwood," she announced. "If you would also please commence the next round!"

Since Jemima had decided to go easy on her, Clementine followed suite with her next spell. She'd been rather fierce in the previous rounds.

"Tarantallegra."

She hoped to make her friend dance a bit and perhaps knock her a bit off kilter.

If there was one person who would not rub a loss in her face, Jemima was secure in the fact it would not be Clem. So there was not too much to worry about (for once). This time, then, she attempted Locomotor Mortis.

Well that certainly was effective!

Mademoiselle Rookwood's spell hit her opponent with full force and Mademoiselle Farley proceeded to dance a rather marvelous jig. Before the poor child could get too into the routine, Andromeda cast the counterspell and gestured to the blonde. "Congratulations, Mademoiselle Rookwood, you have won the round."

@"Jemima Farley" - 6.5
Clementine Rookwood -  12.5
