Krishna and Lalita was a love match despite their age difference. They were never formally married for reasons but appeared to the world as though they were. Quite literally the world given the nature of their shop. After Rakesh courted a girl briefly she mysteriously became with child and subsequently vanished after the baby was born and Rakesh took Yasmina, who was named after her grandmother, away to SOMEWHERE until he died of an illness he did not disclose to the family until it was too late and she returned to live with Krishna and Reva.

Appearance: 5'3. Slender. Dark hair that falls in waves and irate curls to the middle of her back. Thin of face and sharp of cheekbone, Reva is striking rather than pretty, has amber-flecked eyes and is missing the smallest toe on her left foot after one of the artifacts attacked her.
History:
1846: Reva is born the second and last child to a respectable(ish) half-blood wizard and muggleborn witch who own and run Rare & Exotic Imports, a shop that moves from place to place depending on the time of day. Unfortunately her birth coincides with an outbreak of cholera that soon takes her mother’s life and plunges Krishna into a period of despair during which Rakesh and Reva are watched over by various shop assistants.
1848: After two years Krishna has rallied following his loss and is much more involved with his children’s upbringing and the beginnings of their education. More out of convenience than any particularly strong beliefs he intends to educate them in precisely the same way and eagerly awaits either of them performing magic for the first time.
1850-56: Rakesh obviously beats her to performing magic but within a few years she does so too and Krishna begins their theoretical magical education, alongside teaching them the languages and skills they will know to be useful in the shop once they are old enough to be so. They are both bright, if a tiny bit lazy when they think they can get away with it, and by the time they are old enough for wands (Lalita's takes to Rakesh and Reva has so much affinity with Krishna's after practicing with it he gives it over to his daughter and sources a new one) they are both proficient enough in everything they have been taught to begin working in the shop.
1858-1867: Formative years. Dreary, terrible times. Reva prefers not to think about them too much but suffice to say she became highly aware that the world would treat her differently to her brother - even if her father never did - and got her heart broken more than once.
1869: Rakesh dies suddenly, leaving Reva devastated and suddenly with a small girl in the shop. Having purposefully rejected a life of marriage and motherhood she is at a loss as to what to do with little Yasmina, but luckily Krishna is much better so she does not go entirely without affection.
1870: Her father introduces her to Rush, a boy he found in the shop after they leave the Mumbai store and has apparently decided to keep. Initially Reva considers him little more than a stray dog, a substitute for her dead brother that her father can protect for a little while but very soon he endears himself to her, not least because he has magic and Yasmina seems to be fond of him . She doesn't bother to tell him this of course.
1871: A waif and stray named Mei arrives through the Chicago store. [Initial thoughts of Mei and her background]
1871-76: For several years they all live quite happily, barring a few calamities involving exploding objects and occasional customers being inadvertently transported to another country against their will. Rush and Yasmina grow up, Mei develops interests that Reva would really rather she didn't have, and Krishna shares every aspect of the running of the shop with Reva, leading them to both silently acknowledge that one day she will take over entirely and he will be gone.
1877: Through the Buenos Aires entrance they acquire Valentino, a handsome chancer who has a great talent for acquiring items, something that Reva considers indispensable even if she does ponder locking the door once in a while. He soon becomes a staple of the makeshift family. In the same year Reva begins teaching magic to Yasmina.
1878-1882: Through the Chicago shop front Farrah arrives. Seriously dad, lock the fucking door once in a while. Yasmina enters into the teenage phase and Reva has about one heart attack a month worrying about her.
1883: Krishna retires from the shop, leaving Reva entirely in charge for the first time in her life. This inspires mild panic that she covers up entirely around the others, apart from Mei, who is mostly excited that she might have more luck persuading the new owner that they need previously vetoed artifacts.
1883-1888: Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
Personality: With a name that means ‘one that moves’ Reva was never going to be especially satisfied with sitting still. She is a restless, energetic person that has little time for idlers but a lot for her little family. Sharp and severe at times Reva does not suffer fools well and is privately of the opinion that fools are what the mostly get in the shop. Still, she is able to turn on the charm with the best of them and can sell anything to anybody quite easily. Reva feels fiercely about her family though she does not always show it, being reserved by nature, but occasionally she does go out of her way to show it.
Other: + Would rather die than admit to loving her adopted idiots.
