Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1894. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.
I heard some girls talking about a secret passage somewhere in Hogwarts. Is it true? Are there are actual secret passages? I want to drag Max to go look with me, but I don't want to go anywhere weird. (Like the girl's lavatory.) It would be very cool to find one.
Ida caught herself grinning as she read her brother’s letter, but now she was faced with a real dilemma. Be the good example of a big sister, or let him in on some of what she’s found? Half the fun was discovering these secrets with friends…
It’s true, there might be a secret passageway (or two). There’s even a secret room, where legend has it you can find anything you ever need when you open it.
I only heard about the passageways… Who knows where they’ll lead you, though, so I advise you venture forth only when you are very prepared, and to leave a bright trail behind you lest you lose yourself in the mazes forever (it won’t be forever, eventually a professor will go find you because this does happen time to time, but they shall be very cross).
And for goodness sake, don’t get caught in the girl’s lavatory your first year. At least send those girls in before you to make sure its empty. Furthermore, girls don't like that bathroom for a reason. It stinks up all the sudden very often, and Peeves is known to give kids looking for the secret a startle.
