Welcome to Charming, where swirling petticoats, the language of flowers, and old-fashioned duels are only the beginning of what is lying underneath…
After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

Miss Dear Helga,
I hope that this letter finds you and your family well. The purpose of it is an invitation—one I have received, and would indeed extend to you and the chaperon of your choosing. By virtue of my position, it seems that I am to attend the first ball at the new gallery, and I should be delighted indeed to have your company that evening. If this is something you feel you would enjoy, please do let me know.
Fondly,
Aldous

I would be delighted to attend with you. My sister Mrs. Gallivan will accompany me. I hope you will find her company as pleasant as I do—she is my favorite sister.

Dear Helga,
I believe that I have met Mrs. Gallivan in passing—her late husband was involved in quidditch, was he not? If she is half so charming as you, I have little doubt her company will be splendid indeed. I look forward to seeing you both next week-end.
Fondly,
Aldous

Yes, he was. Now my sister's step-son is in charge of the running of the Chudley Cannons, but she helps where she can. I hope you like quidditch, or at least find the sport tolerable; we will get plenty of invites.
