Appearance: An elegant, delicate flower of alarming beauty. Feiyu has long black hair and russet eyes, and dresses in Chinese silk and satin — when not disguised as a pauper. He is right-handed.
History: Born in Tianjin, Feiyu is the tumultuous lastborn of an elite Diplomat from the Chinese Ministry of Magic. He was a sickly child, as frail as plum blossom, sequestered and homeschooled. He became a sneak, frequently venturing out into places unknown, and in time even learned the power of an Animagus in a bid to taste freedom. When at last he came of age, Feiyu became drunk on independence, a black sheep in his prestigious family. In 1893, Mr Yao sent him West to Great Britain. He claims this is to fortify the bond between their countries, as China teeters between wars and Tianjin relies increasingly on British trade; but in truth he just wants his rebellious son out of sight, out of mind. This delights Feiyu. Come hither, British shores, a brave new world to devour.
Personality: Despite being well-read, well-bred, and raised with immaculate manners, his true self is a wild thing. Feiyu is spontaneous, impetuous, and far too curious.
