January 1, 1868 Victoria Magdalena Fudge is born shortly after midnight. 1868-1877 Victoria enjoys a rather uneventful childhood that is punctuated with an accidental burst of magic at the age of eight. She causes a row of chairs to dance around the room. 1878 Victoria's brother graduates. He and Victoria's father open Fudge & Son Desserterie. Thus begins her self-given role as taste tester. 1879 Victoria goes off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. 1883 Victoria gets a shiny, prefect badge along with her Hogwarts letter before her fifth year. 1886 Victoria graduates from Hogwarts and debuts into society as a debutante. In her first season, there is a gentleman that she takes a fancy to but eventually loses interest. 1888 Caught up in the Amortentia Letters scandal, Victoria finds herself very smitten with a gentleman who appears to return her fervor. When things are set to rights, she never sees him again out of embarrassment on both parts or so she assumes. 1889 After falling in and just as swiftly out of love with a third beau, Victoria begins working at the Fudge & Son. 1890-1891 When Victoria is not working at the Desserterie, she often gallivants off to the Sanditon Resort. She was at the Sanditon Close when the hurricane hit but did not get any injuries.

A ball to celebrate the opening of a new gallery? Clarissa was all for it. She had taken great enjoyment in looking at all the portraits. More than a few were more than happy to be given attention while others berated her for looking at them. That had been her experience with most of the portraits that hung both in her own house and when she attended Hogwarts so she was not too surprised. Her own paintings sometimes came out a bit snarky and she was never sure if it was because of her own underlying level of sass or the painting just taking a life of its own.
Clarissa had spotted Mister Selwyn in attendance with his new wife. She was not sure who she had expected the woman he abandoned their courtship to marry to be but it had not been her former Arithmancy professor. For one, the two had never been said to be familiar with one another as far as she knew. As far as anyone knew according to pretty much anyone who spoke to her about it. Definitely not enough for her to have suspected her to have been the woman to declare her feelings for a man already formally attached to another. How odd, really. It was all very suspect.
Admittedly, Clarissas friends were more enraged on her behalf than the woman wronged was herself. She adored them for it but it was hardly like she had been devastated. Just a little disgusted and confused, perhaps. She felt weirdly vindicated when Witch Weekly spoke more in support of her than against her. They could be terrible and she hardly ascribed to their every word but it was still something that circulated among her set and swayed opinions.
Spreading out her fan, she lightly fanned herself as she gazed up at a painting of a knight that winked at her. She was amused enough to chuckle though stopped short when a gentleman came to stand beside her to also take in the painting. She knew why she was not swanning about the ball just yet and vaguely wondered what this mans reasons might be. "If you don't ask this young lady to dance in the ball, I will," the knight challenged the man.
"The knight has issued you a challenge but you need not take it," she said teasingly to the man the knight was now glaring at in bold challenge.
