Appearance: Cadogan has dark, curly hair that never seems to look neat, with matching dark brown eyes and ears that are larger than he would like. His skin is pale and if it weren’t for spending time outside often, he’d probably burn a lot more. He stands at an average five feet, three inches with a sturdy build. Cad is left handed and prefers comfort over fashion, finding little care in what he actually wears. Whatever is found in his closet or he is told to wear, he does without complaint.
History:
1879-1890 | Cadogan is the last child born to the Glynn family, a clan in Avalon Glen best known for tending to wand wood trees. Life is hectic, between siblings coming and going from Hogwarts, and the Glen itself, of course. Because of this, Cadogan finds pleasure in blending into the background, observing rather than participating.
In 1883, Cadogan shows signs of magic, which isn’t much of a surprise. He manages to vanish from sight for a few hours, and is finally found outside, stuck in a tree.
1890-1892 | He finally gets his letter and heads off to Hogwarts. The sorting hat takes an embarrassingly long time to pick between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, and it isn’t until Cadogan feels he might pass out from embarrassment that he’s finally put in the latter house. He immediately takes to his classes – surprised at how much he loves History of Magic – and as expected from every child, gets into his fair share of trouble with his new friends. Of course he is quick to get home sick because he misses his family, and finds coming home from breaks to be one of the hardest things he has to do. Luckily a few of them are at Hogwarts with him, even though he tries his best not to tag along too often.
1892- Present | Cadogan adds Divination, Care of Magical Creatures (which unsurprisingly he excels at) and Arithmancy his third year; this would have been his final year had he not been able to secure a scholarship for his good grades, which allows him to continue through at least his OWLs.
Of course Cadogan is worried about having to leave, because he has plans to eventually become a Magizoologist, specifically rescuing and saving animals from unsavory characters who wish to harm them. Maybe he could even open up a sanctuary attached to the Glynn, although he hasn’t ever broached the subject.

Cadogan is an introvert who prefers to have a few close friends rather than knowing a lot of people; because of this, he tends to stick to himself. He prefers classes that are more practical, only because people have already done the experiments or perfected the spells, therefore the outcome is already known. Cadogan strives to stick to his word and be a dependable friend (or the voice of reason, although that doesn’t exactly work out well most of the time.)
