To whom it may concern,
I am writing with regards to one Miss Bethel E. Nye, regularly of Pennyworth, Hogsmeade. Miss Nye presently serves as librarian at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and did not report for work on Friday. She then failed to respond to my inquiry as to her well-being prompting me to pay an impromptu house call. I found her residence tidy, but empty and, notably, unlocked.
In addition to serving presently as her superior, I have known Miss Nye for many years, first as her Head of House. I therefore say, with reasonable certainty, that the above situation depicted is not within her usual character and I find myself quite concerned that something ill might have transpired.
Enclosed is a copy of this year's photograph of staff, taken in October. Miss Nye is in the back row, most notable for her height and particular colouring. Please do inform if you have any news of her welfare, or require any additional information.
Regards,
Professor H. Darrow
