History:

1846-1856: Alexander Elias Hagrid is born and leads an uneventful childhood. Only one sibling joins him - a sister.  His first sign of magic was not abundantly worth remembering.

1857: Alexander surprises everyone of his family by being placed in Ravenclaw, having come from a long line of predictably Slytherins.

1859: While Alexander has taken an interest in astronomy, it would not lead to a respectable profession in his father's eyes - even for a first born son of a wealthy family. The man has certain standards. Alexander's attendance to astronomy club never really got mentioned.

For his elective, he only finds a real interest in Ghoul Studies for the curiosity of it.

1864-1867: Alexander goes through the auror training program. In his free time, he does continue his interest in the study of astronomy and makes connections with professionals in the field.

1880: Alexander finds himself married, because this is expected of him more than anything else. He does not feel any strong emotions towards his wife, but treats her with dignity.

1882: A daughter is born, bringing a sense of disappointment. An heir would be preferable.

1884: With the passing of his father, Alexander decides that it is time for a career change. Something less dangerous. Though the ideal position of DADA professor was taken at the time, the position of astronomy professor was. His experience with actively participating in astronomy studies and having even written a couple of papers in his spare time, he brings his experience forward and is accepted.

1885: Another daughter is born. This a small amount of tension between Alexander and his wife.

1887: A third daughter is born.

1890: A son is born, an opening for the DADA professor position opens up and he takes it, and Alexander becomes head of Ravenclaw house.
