At precisely five feet in height, Stella has never cut a particularly imposing feature. Unlike some women, her build plainly betrays the fact that she has birthed half a dozen children, but her appearance is always well-kept and her clothes well-tailored. Her chestnut hair is typically restrained in a simple twist. Crows’ feet around grey eyes and lines around the mouth are expected, given she is prone to smiling. Stella is right-handed.History:
PB is Melissa McCarthy
| Stella is the fifth and final child born to the Walsh family.Personality:
| Her first act of magic sees young Stella turn her own hair blue in an act of protest against the governess.
| Now a Hogwarts student, Stella is sorted into Hufflepuff.
| Her third year sees Stella add Muggle Studies to her schedule.
| Having concluded her fifth year with good enough O.W.L.s, Stella declines to continue her schooling, having been offered a position as a governess by the elder sister of one of her wealthier friends. Her mother protests, viewing this as a sign that the young witch will die a spinster, but Stella insists she wants an opportunity to experience life before consigning herself to her proper role in society.
| The last of her pupils departs for Hogwarts. With glowing reference, Stella finds a position with a new family.
| January sees Stella meet Vincent Beauregard in the corridors whilst he is at the house for a meeting with her charges’ father. They chat innocently, and go about their business. This is not, however, the last that they see of one another—years later, Vincent would confess that he arranged more business with Mr. —, that he might get to see her again! The pair marry that summer. Vincent’s business requires a fair amount of travelling, however, and so she returns to her position in the autumn.
| Discovering that she is expecting, Stella resigns from her position—as she so many years ago promised her mother she would!—shortly thereafter. Bentley is born this year, and Vincent cuts back on his travels to spend more time with his blooming family.
| Stella delivers her first daughter, Adella.
| Elsie is born.
| ...followed very swiftly by Harvey(Vincent and Stella really are quite affectionate)
| May sees a pair of twins, Charlotte and Owen, join the family. This pregnancy was quite taxing on Stella, who decides six children is quite enough.
| Six biological children, at any rate. Vincent learns of a young muggleborn, Shaymon Ross, who has been discarded by his family for his magical ability and the Beauregards open their home to the boy. He leaves for Hogwarts that autumn, where the Sorting Hat places him in Gryffindor.
| Bentley follows suit.
| Adella follows in her mother’s footsteps, finding a place in Hufflepuff.
| The incident. In the kerfuffle surrounding the revelation (however short-lived) of magic to the muggle community, the Beauregards think it best that they settle in Hogsmeade. Elsie joins the boys in Gryffindor that autumn.
| Shay completes his initial schooling and is accepted into the Auror Training Programme at the Ministry of Magic. Stella is sad to see her ‘eldest’ leave for London. In September, Harvey joins Adella in Hufflepuff.
| Bentley concludes his schooling and finds work apprenticing with a local craftsman. Though Stella would rather see him put his education to good use in the Ministry, or to join his father in the trading company, she quickly sees how skillful he is in this new endeavor.
| Adella completes her schooling and begins working at the House of Lytton. As with Bentley, Stella is not entirely thrilled with this, but must quickly conclude that the work suits her daughter’s talents very well. Seeing her children happy following their own path, she is reminded by her own mother, is something Stella should strive for—given her own journey!
| Bentley’s friend Winnie takes ill and comes to stay with the Beauregards. With many of her children at school or living their own lives, Stella relishes having something to occupy her attentions more fully.
| Shay moves abroad for work, though writes often. Surprising his mother not one iota, Bentley proposes to Winnie in February. A wrench is thrown into the engagement, though, when he is drafted for what would later be known as the Hogsmeade Expedition, which, ultimately, sees the match dissolve. He and Adella move to Boston, a decision that Stella finds it very difficult to hold her tongue about. In September, the twins depart for Hogwarts. Never the sort to be idle, Stella wastes no time finding a post as a governness, with previous, glowing references recommending her highly. Though her employer is wary of the fact that she is married, Stella is quick to reassure them, and proves herself many times over in a few short weeks.
| Adella comes home, much to her mother’s delight. However, Bentley perishing in a fire that summer is the straw that breaks the camel’s back: Stella concludes that her children require less unconditional support and more maternal guidance.
| Elsie concludes her schooling and begins working alongside one of her school friends at a local bookshop. Plague and fires become the major talking points of society which, given Adella’s illness and how Bentley perished the year before, sees Stella in something of a state for the bulk of the summer.
| Harvey graduates.
| Elsie finds a new post as a librarian. It seems a lateral move, but one she seems to enjoy. After years of friendly acquaintance that thrice threatened to send her mother over the edge, Adella finally marries and becomes Mrs. Philip Calendar. Stella is overjoyed to see her daughter so happy and confident that Adella has seen enough of the world and experienced enough of life to have no regrets as she settles into her new role. That autumn, Stella finds a new position with a young girl whose health does not permit her to attend school outside the home.
| The twins conclude their time at Hogwarts. Elsie rejects the advances of the perfectly respectable, perfectly lovely, and perfectly eligible Mr. Percival Adlard Jr., citing matters of the heart which Stella can’t quite condemn but isn’t thrilled about, either.
| Rumours of her daughter’s ‘wayward’ behaviour reach Stella’s ears and she is not thrilled.
