Greetings [Insert Appropriate Name Here],
I will be announcing my run for the campaign for Minister. Given the fast-approaching Hogwarts year, I would like to invite you and a few members of your family to a dinner party that is hosted by myself and Mrs. Patton. The purpose for this dinner is to seek guidance and ask for the support of yourself and your loved ones.

Dinner will be at the Patton Estate on the 23rd of this month and the floo network will be available to guests.

Respectfully, Miss Sweetie R. K. Whitledge

How out of the blue! Of course, Nell knew there was an election to come, but given her very recent return to Britain—and the fact that she was unable to vote herself—had paid it little enough mind. Oh, it was a privileged standpoint, she knew, to all but ignore politics, and a part of her felt bad. Just not bad enough to mend her ways.

She would, she decided, feel altogether out of place at this gathering. This, she expected, would be the only good thing to come of Harriet's passing: an excuse.

Miss Whitledge,

I must, first and foremost, thank you for your invitation. Unfortunately, I must decline, though I beg that you do not see it as a condemnation of you or your candidacy! Indeed, I think it wonderful that a woman should run for such a critical office, and I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours. I remain, however, in mourning for a dear sister, and so am not holding to social engagements.

Respectfully,
Professor N. Brierley

Miss Whitledge,

I apologize for the belated reply, I was away for the weekend visiting friends for their wedding and I did not return until today. I regret that I have missed your gathering, as I'm sure it was a wonderful event. I do wish you the best of luck in your political endeavors!
Professor M. Skeeter
