How's your summer so far? I know Hogsmeade can feel a little boring so I'm sure Ireland can be worse. Make sure you let us know if you come to Scotland.
Ireland is dreadfully boring, much to no one's surprise. We herd the animals, cool off in the pond and tend to the fields. A delightful and simple existence.
How is your summer? Better than mine I hope?
What kind of animals? Sorry it's boring.
Honestly Hogsmeade isn't much better. I want to go back to school, I think, I haven't really been doing anything here.
A handful of chickens, a cow, and three goats. There's some ducks in the pond, but they don't belong to my family. We slaughter the cow every winter for meat, which was hard to stomach at first. Such is the life.
I want to go back to school too. Is there anything fun to do in Hogsmeade? Being near a town must keep things lively at least.
The ducks sound fun.
I like to go to High Street, but I do wish that more of our friends lived in Hogsmeade. I know that's selfish of me, but it's not the same if it's not all of us.
They can be. The chicks are cute.
How many more friends would you hope to live in Hogsmeade? Why there's Sloane, Calla, and Edison! Cameron and Maddy aren't too far away either, as Irvingly is supposedly close, isn't it?
This is going to sound silly but it's really just not the same as being at school, even in Hogsmeade.
I suppose not. I don't know much about Hogsmeade other than what I've learned on Hogsmeade weekends. Are the neighborhoods so large you cannot meet up on a walk? I don't mean to push, this is more of a curious question than anything.
We probably could meet up on a walk — it just, you know, requires a lot more organization than it would at school.
Understood. The effort to maintain friendships can feel overwhelming at times.
That's not what I meant. It's just everyone's schedules need wrangling.
I'm sorry. The topic recently came up between someone else and I and it frightened me a bit. I didn't mean that you or they were unwilling to make an effort.
Forgive me?
Of course I forgive you! There's nothing to forgive. & no need to be frightened, either — we'll always be friends, even when it's harder.
