A question about Hogwarts - Sorcha MacRae - June 24, 2021

Okay, so. This question specifically applies to the MacRae family. Sorcha, my girl here, has been working for the last year as a Ministry departmental employee. Theoretically, she could send two siblings to Hogwarts on her own, not counting her parents' domestic service employment and her older brother's shop employment, as of right now. I did the math for the low end of the pay level.

What I'm wondering is, does the work of siblings count against the First Year Scholarship as earned income that would disqualify a family from receiving such?

Just based on how school scholarships normally work - I wouldn't see it. Normally it's just parents income that is calculated because the siblings have no legal responsibility to contribute to the care or education of other children in the house.
