The Macnair Black Sheep - Agrimony Macnair - May 10, 2021
HI THERE
So thanks to some cbox lurking, then also Olive and Bree, I am making Agrimony Macnair. I know he was played before, but I'll def be making him a bit darker than before. Paranoid still, but his moral compass is a bit more grey, OH and he's resentful of both his mother and mildly antagonistic of his brother.
I came across a post somewhere that requested (might have been Kayte or Lynn?) someone who wanted a doctor who was happy to be at any duels, and I feel like Agrimony would delight in that tbh, so I'm mulling that possibility over. His biological father was a black market dealer of magical creatures and potion ingredients so I'm also contemplating making him go the route of his father. We'll see xD
ANYWHOO, I'd love to know if you have had any relationships with the previous one and if there are any specific plots you'd like him for/he'd have been present for so I can include that in his history! Lmk what you're looking for and I'd love to plot with you :D

Sage Macnair is graduating soon and if he is darker then, he and Sage might actually get along. I'd like for there to be one brother Sage actually liked and looked up to and it would be beautifully ironic if it was the one thats not even his full sibling. >D He is graduating so plenty time for bonding and 'sage want to help me with this since you're a potioneer now?' bc sage is def down for black market shit

Not really a connection more than a suggestion for a possible dynamic: if Agrimony chose a more sketchy job without a proper front Valerian could potentially be judgmental or that (see: “you could at least try to act respectable”, etc.)
ALSO CONNECTIONS:
- Bella is not dark but depending on his job she could have had contact with him while she was in her poorer/more desperate/sketchier times.
- Freddie is around his age? Also Raphael for potential friends.

lol, Valerian ended up being their shady duel healer xD But not to say Agrimony couldn't fulfill the same function in other contexts.
BUT if you go the second route, Ben might be a potential connection - he's been involved in some sketchy stuff in the past and notably acquired an illegal mind control potion in late 1889 which he then gave to Melody which she used to get him to elope :P So their relationship would not be awesome now if it came from Agrimony, but Ben probably also blames himself for that more than Agrimony so no real hard feelings xD
