Lil Red Riding Hood - Friendless Night - December 26, 2020

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day had been spent with a lonely client so Endy had been feeling good. Tonight was more of a challenge, though. With nowhere to go for the night, he had decided to see if the denseness of the Forbidden Forest would help ward off the cold. He was wearing the warm, blood-red cloak that he had gotten as a gift from one of his regulars which was helping stave off the cold.

He knew it was dangerous but at the moment his desire to get somewhere that was less cold outweighed everything else in the factor of surviving the night. Hearing a rustle to the side of him, Endy froze up but continued walking when he didn't hear anything else. He put the hood of his cloak over his head and clutched it tight as he strode a bit faster through the trees.

The first and last thing he heard was the growl and the first and last thing that he felt was an excruciating pain. He crawled through the forest and though he did not know it, he managed to make it to the edge of the forest where a Good Samaritan caught sight of the homeless waif nearing death though perhaps it would have been better if they hadn't.

Because though his life was saved, it would not ever be the same again.
