Edmund has always been plain. He stands at a mere five feet, five inches tall and has always been more on the thin side. He'd never enjoyed the spotlight and dresses in a way that attracts the least amount of attention—plain shirts, slightly baggy pants, and unpolished shoes. It's not uncommon to find his shirt sleeves paint-stained, nor to find his unstylishly shoulder-length hair pulled back into a low, messy ponytail. His jaw lacks definition and his nose is a little too wide for his face, but his eyes are a striking green and his smile wide and friendly. He's trained himself to use both hands, but prefers his left for wandwork.History:
Personality:
1875 Edmund is born the third child to Miles and Pansy Evermonde just a day after Christmas. After having Ida only eleven months earlier, Edmund's mother struggles to regain her health and is bedridden for nearly an entire month afterwards. 1877 The family relocates to the villages of Hogsmeade shortly after the birth of Edmund's little sister Petunia. 1878 An early bloomer, Edmund displays his first sign of magic at age three while at his family's home. His older brother Charles snatches the book he was reading, and in true younger-brother fashion, Edmund makes his pants disappear. 1879 Edmund's mother gives birth to another baby boy, and Edmund is determined to be a nicer, less annoying older brother to little Teddy than Charlie is to him. He tries to be the "good son" by offering to help hold the baby and watch him throughout the day, but he is quickly rebuked by the no-nonsense nanny. 1880 The twins are born, leaving Edmund's mother struggling to recover. The healer discourage her from conceiving the future, claiming that her body is damaged and incapable of carrying another. It takes six months before she regains her strength, and even then Edmund's father continues to warn his children to be gentle on their mother's nerves. 1881 The summer is spent with the spotlight on Charlie, much to his dismay, but September comes quickly. Edmund is more than pleased to see him shipped off to school, leaving him the oldest brother. In the absence of his brother he finds himself with more time to read, practice his piano lessons, and study without being belittled and teased. 1882 Fidelia goes off to Hogwarts. 1883 Pansy Evermonde's final pregnancy is not an easy one, and the fact that she carried it to term was hailed as miraculous by both the family and midwife. The birth of Neville Evermonde should have been a day of happiness, of gratitude, but Edmund's mother finds herself battling an infection in the hours after her birth. She perishes less than twenty-four hours after giving birth, leaving her husband a widower and her children motherless. At only eight years old, Edmund can hardly process the fact that he will never hear his mother's voice again. The reality only hits when Charlie and Fidelia are brought home from school to attend the funeral. 1884 A year of mourning passes, and Edmund finds himself wishing he could join his older brother and sister at Hogwarts. He takes solace in his books and painting in-between the hours he spends outside with Ida. 1886 Ida leaves him for Hogwarts. Although he'd once have been pleased to be the eldest left at home, the morning of September 1st is spent squeezing his sister goodbye and begging her to smuggle him in her trunk. The remainder of the year is spent exchanging letters with all of his siblings—Charlie included—and keeping his younger siblings entertained. 1887 Edmund finally has his chance to join his siblings at Hogwarts. He's sorted into Hufflepuff, which doesn't seem to suit him—at least initially. Good study skills and a healthy interest in his classwork ensure good grades, but his true interest lies in Art and Music class. He gets detention for the first after doodling in one of the school's textbooks (which in his defense, he'd forgotten that the book wasn't his halfway through class), but it never happens again. 1889 Edmund adds Arithmancy and Ancient Runes as his electives at the beginning of third year. 1890 Fourth year comes and Edmund realizes he must soon begin to think about what he wants to do with his life post-Hogwarts. He considers curse-breaking an option, but isn't sure whether he's brave (or adventurous) enough to pursue such a career path. The life of an artist remains a fantasy for the time being, as it is neither a practical nor lucrative career.
Quiet. Self-preserving. Secretive. Artistic. Cynical. Avoids arguments like the plague and rarely asserts himself. Rarely approaches people on his own accord, but does not shy away from a conversation when approached. Forgetful. Hard worker. Studious.Other:
