Are you okay? I just got done reading the Prophet and I feel like I must be going crazy. It says you’ve gone missing! But that can’t be true right? I’ve been reading this article over and over again and feel like I have to be seeing things. I know we only saw each other briefly at the World Cup, but now I can’t help but worry that I should have stayed with you. Please let me know you’re safe as soon as you can.

First and foremost, I'm okay. I'm home with Malou standing guard over me, and all is well.
It's a long story, too long to put into a letter. Basics are that a rogue portkey transported Lachlan MacFusty and I clear across the globe. It sucked, we almost died, and now we're home. Sorry if the article scared you. Malou went a bit nuts notifying everyone.
Hope you're settling into the school year alright. Did you have your first first year lesson yet?

You have no idea how relieved I am to hear you’re okay! I have been worried sick this past week waiting for your reply, and I was beginning to get anxious that it might be quite a while before I’d even hear from you again! Did you just make it home recently?
If it is too long to put into a letter, are you available to meet up to talk? I will gladly come to wherever you and Malou are. And a rogue portkey that sends you across the world sounds insane! Like something I’d expect to read out of a storybook. Do they at least know if it was placed there on purpose? Or even if it was intended for either you or Lachlan?
I can’t believe you’re even asking about my lessons after what has just happened to you! You’re forever ridiculous and fearless, you know that right? Plus, I don’t have anything really interesting to share on the subject. My first lesson isn’t until next week, but other than that the school year has been alright I suppose? I must admit I have been rather distracted by everything that’s happened.
I've included some chocolate frogs to hopefully make your day better. Try to not make yourself sick by eating them all at once.

Sorry for keeping you hanging. I just got home on the 4th, yeah, the portkey pulled us back on the 31st of August. No need to stress, I'm fine.
As of right now I'm under a strict house arrest. The auror's office is watching my flat like a hawk, unfortunately. I made a non-negotiable demand to visit Lachlan in the hospital (he was in a much worse state than I) so I don't think I can push them much further. It was on purpose and intended for me. I can't really divulge more details than that. As soon as the suspect is caught, though, you know you're always welcome to the flat. Malou would love to see you.
You'll have to let me know how the first lessons go. You know I love the stories of terrified first years. And, I make no promises about the chocolate frogs. Even fearless, ridiculous women have weaknesses.
