Pretty Pretty Please! - Emma Flitwick - April 10, 2020

Dear Mother,
I know it is not Christmas and that my birthday is some way off, but I have some money that I have left from last birthday and Christmas, and the tooth fairy. It is just enough to buy a part Kneazle cat! I would love a pet for Hogwarts, and I would not want a rat or toad, and an owl is not really a pet, I could and would take care of a cat all of my own.

I swear that I am old enough to look after him, for I would so love a little male kitten. He would live in my dorm room, for no one in my dorm has a cat but 3 of the girls have owls. Please say I can!

I cannot very well send a kitten to you, without being quite worried that an owl would loose it. Even if I did decide to do so.

I'm sure you are smart enough to handle the care of a kitten, but perhaps we shall wait to see what your grades are like, come summer, to see if you have the time to raise a kitten without it effecting your grades.

Dear Mama,
I understand, I will do everything I can during the summer to prove that I can be trusted to take care of kitten!

I have asked uncle Zacariah if I can work in his bookshop this summer and help look after his cats so you will see just how responsible I can be! If I can help look after all of his cats I can definitely look after only 1 of my own.
