I just saw the Prohpet, congratulations!! That's so very exciting, you must be thrilled! Tell me all about it, when do practices start? It seems to be just you and one other woman, is that it?

Aren’t you well informed?! I’d have flown right over the moon already if I could, that’s how exciting this is. ‘Course, the selection committee can’t have been all that pleased - Mr. Prewett didn’t seem keen. So it’s just me and Maggie Darrow from my usual team, which ought to be fun. (I think the men get worried as soon as they’re in the presence of more women than they can count up to.)

Honestly I haven’t the foggiest idea of the training plan. I’ll show up when they tell me to!

And how are you? You sure you’re not rich already, it being springtime and all?

Darling, I am on top of anything and everything if the mood strikes me and this was a vested interest! Plus I like to see the baby announcements, you know that.

Oh pish on him, clearly he knew you could handle it, as you made the team! I have the utmost faith in you!

Not yet, it's the fall you have to worry about really  All those cold months and married couples have nowhere to go all winter... October, what a rush! I'll need an apprentice before long though!

Oh, he knows it. That doesn’t mean he likes it. But that doesn’t matter to me, of course: he and the selection committee can cry into their morning toast about it if they like. I’m on the team now, they can’t very well strike me off the list.

Unless I misbehave, I assume. But I shall try not to.

And... I would say I’d make a note of that useful information about the autumn, but you know, Win, I think that’s something I’d rather forget. Says one April baby to another, anyway!

I’ll look out for possible apprentices for you, ha ha. I’ll pluck one right off the Pennyworth streets if I think she looks hardy enough for the task!

Ach well, I doubt it hurts your feelings much to know he disapproves. At least he's smart enough to realize talent when he sees it! Not all men can claim such an astute trait.

Oh marvelous, I could desperately use a little help these days! Say, when you decide to hang up your broom for good, please do me the honor yourself!

Speaking of I miss your beautiful face, we should get together sometime soon! I cannot wait to hear all about your newest quidditch adventures!

Quite right, nothing like that hurts my feelings! Or yours, I’d say. Suits of armour, we are! Damned near impenetrable, I should say.

Emotionally, that is. I feel a bit like an old lady some of these days... and it’s not like training will get any easier. I don’t suppose you know any brilliant tricks for back pain? Mine’s killing me in the evenings.

However sore and tired I am, I certainly shan’t deprive you of seeing this ghastly mug if you want to! I miss yours more. Just let me know when you’re not up to your elbows in newborns, and I’ll be there in a flash, promise!
