-- Stands at a petite 5'0", and not likely to exceed above 5'2" in the coming years.History:
-- In addition to her petite height, she is also small all-around, causing her to appear younger than her actual age.
-- A heart-shaped face with a small nose, thin lips, and dark eyes are framed by long black hair that falls to just a smidge above her waistline.
-- She has fair complexion that is prone to darkening in the sun, which she thwarts by carrying parasols outdoors - especially in the summertime.
-- In terms of dress, she prefers the muggle fashions of the era, and can be found in an array of pastel colors - pink, in particular, is her favorite, though yellow - a nod of loyalty to her house - is a strong contender too.
-- Although she is left-handed originally, she has been trained to utilize her right, which could account for why she is not as proficient in wand-based magic as she is in others.
(LATE) WINTER OF 1875 | On a crisp winter morning of February 1875, Cassandra Clio quietly made her entrance into the world just before dawn. As her parents' fourth child and third daughter, her birth was celebrated with little fanfare though she was doted upon and shown off all the same - especially by her mother, who took pride in still being able to conceive even after the rough few years between the twins and Cordelia.Personality:
YEARS 1876 - 1877 | Though less rich - both in wealth and standing - than their other Fawley relatives, Mr. Kenneth Fawley worked hard to make up for his mistakes and ensure a comfortable way of life for his beloved wife and children, and Cassandra and her siblings grew up wanting for very little. For two years, it was simply her and Cora in the sanctuary of their nursery, Cassia's serene nature a balm against Cora's perpetual fussiness, and everyone knew (to their consternation and relief) that when Cora threw one of her fits that Cassia was the one able to comfort her. And this worked perfectly well for the first few years until baby Claus was born in 1877, proving to be a louder and rowdier child than Cassia ever was, and Cora was removed from the nursery to a room of her own - much to young Cassia's disappointment.
SUMMER OF 1880 | The twins graduate from Hogwarts and move back home. Alec starts his career, and Athesia attends the Season to find a husband. With thirteen years between them, Cassia has a rather distant relationship with her eldest siblings, unable to relate to their more grown-up worldview, though she respects and loves them all the same - even if it was odd to have them around the house on a more permanent basis.
YEAR OF 1881 | Cassia was six when she was deemed old enough to begin taking lessons with a governess, and she joined Cora in the home-classroom with Miss Appleby. From this woman, Cassia had learned the finer points of what it meant to be an accomplished young lady, though she was less interested in theory and more concerned with what she could accomplish with her hands. Art, embroidery, and music (sans her singing, which often left much to be desired) were all the things she excelled at.
YEARS OF 1882-1883 | Athesia has a successful second Season when she's asked to court Mr. ------ ------ at the beginning of 1882, and was married to him by spring of 1883. Cassia displays her first act of magic while helping to prepare for her sister's wedding, turning the wrong-colored flowers that were delivered into a perfect shade of rose pink.
FALL OF 1884 | The same autumn that Athesia announces her first pregnancy, Cora leaves for Hogwarts where she was sorted into Gryffindor. Close to her sister, her leaving had left Cassia feeling very down for a few months, though she kept a steady string of correspondence throughout the year, peppering Cora with questions about Hogwarts, about magic, did she make any friends, what classes was she taking, were the professors nice, whether or not Cora missed her... Endless questions that made Cassia both curious and eager for when she, herself, would one day attend too, and then perhaps she wouldn't feel so left out.
SUMMER OF 1885 | With summer, brought with it news of the birth of Athesia's first child. At ten, she might have been a very young aunt, but certainly no less a loving one, and Cassia loved when she was able - which wasn't very often - to see her little niece/nephew.
SUMMER OF 1886 | Finally, it's Cassia's turn to head off to Hogwarts herself! She receives her Hogwarts acceptance letter at the end of the summer, and wasted no time in acquiring her school supplies - the most notable being her 10 1/2" Hazelwood wand with Unicorn Tail Hair core.
FIRST YEAR (1886 - 1887) | No one was the least bit surprised when Cassia was sorted into Hufflepuff (it was between that and her mother's house, Ravenclaw), and she took to her new placement like a duck to water. While she wasn't the most social of students - she much preferred to either stick to herself or to a close group of friends friends - she was always friendly to everyone and, despite her blood purity, saw no reason to discriminate whom she should interact with. Her best classes were Charms and Herbology, and she joined the student clubs of both, with Astronomy coming in at a close third. Her worst class was Potions, though that was likely because she had a tendency to daydream in that class more than most, and her lack of attention to whatever she's supposed to be brewing usually turns out less than stellar - at times, even at the risk of both herself and her partner!
SECOND YEAR (1887 - 1888) | The Halfbreed Ban is put into place this year. With adequate (and extensive) proof of their human lineage, the Fawley sisters were thankfully permitted to return to Hogwarts, though many others were not. Including the then-Minister Urquart's daughter, Topaz, who was turned into a werewolf just before school started. A fact which seemed to briefly divide the school's social sphere, and one was either for Miss Urquart or against her, and for the first time, the two sisters found themselves on opposite ends of the conflict with Cassia duly sympathetic to the former Ravenclaw's plight and Cora decidedly against her - to Cassia's consternation. Though she tried, for both of their sakes', to remain neutral where the subject of Topaz Urquart was concerned - at least between them.
Fortunately, under newly appointed Minister Ross' leadership, the Halfbreed Ban is fully reversed by the New Year, and things seem to go somewhat back to normal.
THIRD YEAR (1888 - 1889) | Her younger brother Claus begins his Hogwarts career, getting sorted into the ------ house. As a third year, Cassia had been required to choose up to three electives, and chose Earth Magic and Divination. She greatly enjoyed both classes, though seemed to have a surprising knack for the latter. Perhaps it was her ability to be insightful of others' emotions that helps, but she's pleased all the same, and adds tarot cards and tea leaf readings to her ever-growing list of hobbies and interests.
FOURTH YEAR (1889 - PRESENT) | While she was sure her sister would never show it, Cora losing her best friend to marriage (and at so young an age!) was likely a very hard transition to swallow, and Cassia spent most of the year, in addition to her studies, attempting to ease her sister's loss - but without becoming a nuisance, of course. What sixth year - a Prefect, no less! - would want to hang out with their fourth year sibling all the time?
