What's YOUR Aesthetic? [Image Heavy] - Atticus Sharpe - October 28, 2018

With the birth of our aesthetic avatar gallery, I'm curious—if, gun to your head, you had to choose a non-PB image for your character, which one-two would work best for them? I'll start!

Actual Elinor

I went with this one for Elinor because it is at once both elegant and professional, function and form. She's long since shed her more ~debutantey airs, so this simple grace works well for her!

Aesthetic Maddy 1

I was torn on this one! In many ways, Maddy is a golden snitch: quick, bright, and...important, I guess? Defo quidditch-related Wink

But she's also bright and happy like a pile of candy, SO.

Actual Atticus

Last is Atticus, at least for now! Cozy, rural, etc. basically sums him up. Also not a magical element in sight—very fitting for a muggle!

Holly is very academic-oriented and would love to be able to brew glory, so this one best suits her!

I went with this one instead of the other quidditch one because Cammie is still young and his abilities haven't been perfected (and I sort of see the snitch in a jar as a "bottled up abilities" motif :P)

I chose this one for Calla just because she does tend to be all bright and cheerful - to the point where you can get sick of her if you've had too much - just like candy.

I chose this one for Mander for likely very easy to understand reasons - he'd spend all his time with books rather than people if he had the choice.

I chose this for Jules for a bit of a less intuitive reason, but it made me think of layers with all the balconies and sort of the faces expected of him by different parties/people. The second reason because of the concept of time ticking down and looking back with regrets and what ifs?

I really couldn't find one I felt fit Cora or else I'd've done her as well!

Minerva would absolutely be this little cottage. It's homely (in the good way, not the bad!), modest, and speaks to a simple lifestyle, all of which appeal greatly to her and speak to her personality!

There's actually a reasonable chance I'll switch to it when the editing job on her avatar (LOLOLOL Kayte attempted GIMP) drives me mad and I'm too busy to find her an alternative xD

Maeve is the hardest because none of those quite fit her, but I like the combination of the beater's bat and the quaffle in this one for her—the former because she's aggressive as hell, and the latter because she is also a team player (at least, professionally).

In contrast, Cyrus was very easy. Intelligent and solitary. Quiet/keeps to himself. Doesn't get much more on the nose than that.

Well, Adelina's wearing one, so she's pretty simple to determine. Softness, with the mirror to emphasize that she focuses on her appearance probably more than she needs to.
