The fog has finally ended, freeing Irvingly and "Fogsmeade" and returning them to their natural state of being. The expedition group credited with fixing the situation is that of Mr. Hamish Darrow, Mrs Carmelina Cramming, Miss Constance Sykes, Mr. Charlie Williams, and Mr. Eugene Scamander. The group originally included Miss Lillian Hill, Miss Terpischore Van Helsing, and Mr. Declan Wood, but the three had incidences befall them along the way. However, the group likely would not have been successful had other groups not made it along to the casino as well. All Irvingly adventurers who made it to the end will be invited to the Minister's Fog Reception, to be held August 11th at Hogsmeade Hall, and will be awarded 6 galleons. Successful adventurers - namely, those from the aforementioned group who did not drop out - will be awarded 15 galleons.

The cause of the fog has finally been solved. Adventurers who made it to the Irvingly casino were transported to an apparent ransacked pyramid from Ancient Egypt. The witch who was buried there was renowned for not only her curses, but also her time magic - resulting in a month having passed since the adventurers entered the casino, although it should have only been a few days. The curses have 'rotted' over time, making them both more powerful and more wildly unpredictable.

The pyramid was ransacked by cursebreakers-for-hire in May, who evidently did not do a very good job of breaking the curses before selling many of the artifacts to the Irvingly Casino to be used as gambling prizes. Once the casino's owner touched a gemstone used for protection, he was beheaded in his office and the fog began to spread. His employees, evidently used to him vanishing for weeks at a time, do not appear to have noticed.

The gemstone will be returned to Egypt in a magically-sealed box, and is apparently already on a ship headed that way. The other artifacts in the casino - once they have been officially checked-over for curses - will be given to the Museum of Magical Miscellany, and the rest of us may go back to our lives.
