Morgan's Networking - Edward Hornbuckle - July 29, 2018

I don't have any fancy coding, but here goes.

My only character so far is: Edward Hornbuckle, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. He is new to the role and still finding where the paper-clips are kept. Edward is a man that looks to the future, a proud member of the Magical Equity Club he is never shy to state his political opinions and now in a senior position in the Ministry he is in a place to make those opinions Ministry policy.

I am looking for all types of threads so I can really establish Edward as my main character.

hi Morgan!

I have woefully little for you unfortunately but Eugene Scamander is my only ministry man. He works in the Beast Division and is currently on the Irvingly Expedition, so he won't be immediately available for threading. He'd be a good bet in the future though!

Phineas Black is the only one of mine in Edward's age range, but given the class difference and Edward's more liberal views, they're an unlikely friendship. XD

Baxter Keene  and Sydney Podmore  are my only other dudes even close in age, so do with them what you will, but damn I don't have much!

Hi, Morgan!

I know we've talked about a thread between Edward and Edric Umbridge (which I'll be getting to soon!), but I have some other Ministry people that Edward could interact with!

❧ Finnian Byrne! He works in the Dept. MLE as a moderately-successful lawyer after flunking out of the auror program. His family has a ~thing where the second-born child has to go into law enforcement, which means he's there despite his failings!

❧ Benjamin Ross! He's the Head of the Dept. Magical Transportation and the younger brother of the Minister of Magic! They probably wouldn't collaborate unless there are law enforcement issues related to transportation, but they've probably recently coordinated re: travel passes for law enforcement officials!

❧ Albert Pettigrew was a former lawyer, but moved up in the world as a member of the Research Committee! They'd likely clash in politics but Albert would try to stay on his good side because...he's just that way :P

I also have Hudson Podmore who's the CoMC professor at Hogwarts and of a different blood/class, but they're of a similar age and the 40+ dudes need to stick together :P

Well, Phineas and Edward would have been at Hogwarts together, but I doubt they would have socialised together and now even less so. But, both Phineas and Edward are in high-powered jobs so their paths might cross.

Eugene and Edward would be a better fit as they're both members of the Magical Equity Club and Ministry employees. We could write thread of them bumping into eacother at the Club or Eugene coming to Edward at work. Maybe there is something Eugene wants help with that a Department Head could help him with?
