I shall never go to Hogwarts. I am quite convinced that this fog has turned us all into squibs, and so I am no longer put out by my inability to purchase a wand, but mourning the fact that I shall never have one. Please enjoy your school preparations, and do write to me from the castle, when you get there.
Sincerely,
Rex
Don't be foolish; your father won't allow you to remain my friend, let alone bring me to Hogwarts, if I prove to be unmagical.
It was nice knowing you,
Rex
Have you heard from him since this started? Is the fog at Hogwarts as well? Surely if it’s immune, they’ll force the students to go back, whether your father likes it or not. Besides, it must be awfully lonely when empty.
In the hopes that boredom does not soon slay me,
Rex
