in search of loose plot threads! - Fortitude Greengrass - September 1, 2025

hellooooooo friends. I have a collection of characters with not much on, but the one thing they do have on is very interesting, and/or I generally love them, and/or other people like them and want them around. I tend to do best with characters when they have 2-3 ongoing plot things (or seven... Don Juan Dempsey...) It just makes them feel richer and more interesting and therefore helps me prioritize their posts more <3

SO I am looking for people to help me out with ongoing plot things - this is more than just "let's start a thread and see what happens", it's "yes this is also deeply interesting to me and I want to commit to a multi-thread arc unless we start and it just really isn't working". Getting plugs for them will help me figure out who should be on my roster for the fall and who should vacation for a bit!

Juliana Ainsworth
What she's got on: boiling in her own rage at werewolf happenings
What she could have on:

— reaching out to the people who resigned from the Ministry to try and interview them
— agitating for werewolf rights
— maybe quitting her job and getting a different one? idk
— confusing slowburn romance (she's ace/biromantic, only slightly aware of it)
— sex sucks but her husband wants kids, Juliana tries to adopt your baby

Ezra Applegate
What he's got on: that research plot I dropped the ball on >>
What he could have on:

— any memory related weirdness your character has could be investigated by him via Dept of Mysteries
— blood curse getting unmanageable
— someone finds out about blood curse
— "romance" of convenience because you're a good mom figure and he has a traumatized nephew
— slowburn actual romance but it's complicated and problematic

Magnolia Addams
What she's got on: being angsty with Kieran
What she could have on:

— someone actively trying to track her down for suspicious Zelda resemblence
— slowburn romance
— someone finding out her secret (either lycanthropy or more generally that she isn't who she says she is)
— having to make tough choices that put her privacy at risk for the sake of someone else

J. Alfred Darrow
What he's got on: fighting with his wife
What he could have on:

— gets pulled in to labor politics when there's a big push for dock workers and sailors to unionize
— caught up in some kind of society thing he wants nothing to do with because he accidentally walked in on something at the Sanditon
— slowburn emotional affair

Emrys Selwyn
What he's got on: whatever Angelica is doing
What he could have on:

— new romantic venture (he's bi and looking)
— getting in over his head on something shady - he's connected to vice circles but squeamish about violence etc so something that tips into that end?
— art scene politics of some sort?
— being someone's vehicle for corruption

(in case you're wondering Ford, Don Juan, Oz, Diligent and Ben are all on the roster for fall regardless. First three have a lot on, Diligent is new and I like him, and Ben is fine with flying circles around the Quidditch Pitch unless someone wants to throw a widow/spinster staff member at him for a slowburn emotional affair)
