To Charlie/Charley
I just thought that I never asked how to spell your name. Is that not a little funny? I also never asked where you live, so I shall keep this letter safe until I see you again, because I miss you a lot.
I do not like school. I wish I could come home. Some of the children say I can leave when this term ends and never come back, but I do not know if that is true. It is not for me to choose. I don't like living with witches. Maybe I could live with you instead?? and we could be muggles together. I know you are a little bit like a witch too, but you are not like the rest of them at all.
I had a very funny dream. You were at school with me. I think you were in the third year, but I am not quite sure. We were being very naughty. We took Professor Valenduresis’s hat and wand and ran into the forest to play with them. I think you would laugh at that. Perhaps one day you could find a way past the big magic bubble that keeps us inside. It is not fair that I cannot go to Hogsmeade to see you.
So, in short: school is horrid, you are lovely, and I miss you very much.
Love Maggie xx
