This was a delightful invitation, though Torie was certain her sisters ought to have been invited as well. Upon her arrival and perusal of the gardens, Torie did notice that her peers were more of her age and perhaps that was why her sisters hadn't garnered an invitation of their own. Still, she was in no position to turn it down, no matter the looks she was given. Mrs. Gbadamosi was quite the socialite and Torie would much rather be on her good side than anywhere else. Even if she did not make an impression for herself, she would like to be in good standing.

She didn't quite know where she was in society these days. She was quite enjoying her acquaintance with Mr. Echelon-Arnost, but wasn't too sure how serious she was allowed to be about him. He hadn't come calling or anything, but she had been seen in his company on multiple occasions, especially at their ball in December. Still, it wouldn't hurt to keep her options open.

"I bet this is absolutely stunning in the summer months," she commented gently as somebody came up beside her in the gardens. There were several other young ladies here and Torie was familiar with most of them, but didn't count any among her close friends. That was alright, she was comfortable in society at events like this, could easily hold her own even with her mother hovering nearby chatting with the other mothers.
