Rules for Metamorphmagi - Antelope Grace - November 3, 2024

What are the rules/laws regarding the use of their abilities. Do they have to register like animagi. What if someone like Antelope was to use her powers to impersonate another student either with or without their permission (probably with their permission in her case). For example a divination trip off campus only being offered to NEWTS. She is a good person and not a trouble maker so want to make sure I have it clear.

They don't need to register but also going on a NEWT trip that isn't meant for her is inherently breaking a rule even without the meta aspect lol

I would also garner, as I've always played it with Sloane, that it takes a lot of work and practice to master the ability to change one's appearance to look exactly like that of another. She's still not there now, at eighteen and she slips up a lot, especially when emotional. She can change her own appearance, even her height now, but is still working on mastering the skills, even though it is a genetic trait!

Thanks Tycho Dodonus and Daffodil Grimstone, these points make sense, she will avoid doing anything that will get her into trouble, I actually forgot about the simple fact that just sneaking out would be against the rules as I had focused on the disguise side.

The time taken to learn someone's form well enough to convince someone else that knows them personally is an important factor. She probably knows her family pretty well assuming a calm emotional state, and maybe "caricatures" of her classmates and professors but not a convincing disguise.
