Character Anthems [Lyric Thread Challenge] - Fortitude Greengrass - October 10, 2024

This game exists because I saw people doing another round of the 30 Songs Challenge and I wanted to join in and play but also did not want to do 30 Songs xD but I have NEW PLAYLISTS and PLENTY OF MUSE and a strong desire to combine them.

Here's how the challenge works: You've got a Character. They're in a Situation. You've got a song. You're going to pull a verse/chorus from that song and create three or more threads titles from the lyrics. As an example (which doubles as a pitch, can Emrys/Angel do this plz Angelica Selwyn????) :

— RECKLESS DRIVING by Lizzie McAlpine —

Cause I don't love you like that; I'm a careful driver
('cause I love you like that; I'm a reckless driver)
And I tell you all the time to keep your eyes on the road
(you tell me all the time to keep my eyes)

(do you love me like that? if I keep on driving)
And one day it'll kill us if I don't let go
(would you hold me when we crash or would you just let go?)

where the emphasized lyrics are the titles we'll use and we come back to drop links when the threads exist. When they're all in you have completed the challenge!

What counts/what doesn't?
— if it's the same Situation, count it. If it's not related to the Situation, don't count it.
— Example: Ben and Melody are having issues, as they do. I can count threads they have together about the issues. I can count the thread where Ben runs to Aldous to complain about it. I can count the thread where Melody confides in her friend about it.
— I can't count the thread where Ben talks to Art about Art's marital issues, and I can't count the unrelated Ford thread I had around the same time that used the lyrics because I just really love this song.
— what's a Situation? Self-defined. Can "Don Juan has a habit of seducing married women and then dealing with the fallout poorly" be a Situation? Sure. Can "Tycho is sad and pining" be a situation? Sure. Live your best life, make your characters suffer, listen to good music.
