It was fine. Mo would be fine. Stella and G were in the same house and she was not. They would get to share a dorm. She had to keep reminding herself that this was probably good for them. A little independence. Of the three of them, she would be able to handle this the best. And she had Kaat. Thank Merlin for that.

Still, she was a little mopey that night as they climbed the stairs to their dorm together. She'd been able to contain it well enough until just now and she could feel the discontent settling into her stomach with a sour twist of her insides. Kaat was a lot of fun and they'd gotten along well so far, and Mo had a feeling they would be good friends, but being a twin was a weird thing. She had shared a room with Stella for her entire life, barring that one time for a couple nights when Mo had some nasty pneumonia and they didn't want Tells to catch it.

Upon entering their dorm, Mo found the four-poster with her trunk at the end of it (thankfully towards the corner) and flopped down face-first into the duvet.

Mo dragged herself from suffocating in her comforter, to sit up next to Kaat. At least she already knew the other girl and they had gotten along just fine. It would be fine. "It's alright. I knew it could happen and I think if any of the three of us had to be out on our own, I'm the one who will be alright." Mo couldn't imagine Stella or G off on their own in another house. "I'm glad they have each other."

Fixing a better smile to her face, Mo looked at Kaat and said, "I know so many of the other first years already; my friend Chloe, my cousin Pip, Chloe's cousin Gideon, I've met a few of the others too. Our parents all run in the same sort of circles. There was no way were all going to wind up in the same house." Honestly Mo had known more than half of the first years for quite some time, if at least in passing. "And now I have you too!" She added with a bigger grin, realizing she'd been info-dumping on her roommate for too long already.

"If I'm being honest," which she usually was. "That Hufflepuff dorm is crowded." There had been so many girls sorted into the Den this year!

Mo smiled and leaned into Kaat as well. This was nice, less noisy, probably easier to sleep. She wasn't exactly sleeping on her own either. It just wasn't Stella in the bed next to hers. Everything was going to be fine. "We have our nice little retreat here." Though Mo wanted to be in on all of the action and having fun with everyone she could, it would be nice to have a place where it was just them and they could relax if they wanted to,  or have a conversation without fifteen other people listening. "It's going to be great," she agreed with a nudge of her shoulder.

"Did you bring anything to decorate?" Mo asked, more excited now. Luna jumped up on the bed next to her and nuzzled her leg. "Oh, I was wondering where you got off to." Probably causing trouble with Sol, getting the lay of the land. "Kaat, this is Luna, Luna, Kaat, but not a cat like you." She laughed when she realized what she was saying.

"Just a pennant from my Papa's quidditch team and some pictures." They could go on the table next to her bed and the pennant might be able to go on the wall. They would make it their own in time, she thought. The longer they spent in the dorm, the more things they would collect and therefore have to use to decorate.

Chuckling at Luna's purring, she looked around the room. "I'm sure we'll come up with some things, but you should definitely take that bed." She pointed to the one closest to Mo's. She was used to sharing a room, so that was nothing different, but it would be nice to have Kaat close by.
