Feed me, Seymour - Fortitude Greengrass - June 10, 2024
This is a half-developed plot nugget at the moment so I'm just throwing it out there in hopes that someone will give me an excellent pairing for it. If a bunch of people are interested I may make a suitable "event" to facilitate like I did for the time loops back in the fall.
Premise: a plant that eats emotional duress. It latches on to living things and restricts their movements and feeds on the resulting panic. How do you safely get out? Feed it a different kind of emotional duress — confess secrets. Within earshot of someone else, of course — no duress if you're talking to the air. The less you want to admit this to them, the more effective it is at getting the plant to let up.

I don't have anything specific in mind yet Dante! That's mostly why I was posting here, trying to see who would click nicely.
Ezra or Oz from mine maybe? All of my characters have secrets but those two don't have a ton of other things going on (and someone might care about their secrets). But anyone who is interesting to someone else really.
Emrys could work here too? Ford has a zillion secrets but he's also not hurting for drama so xD

Ginevra - uc, potential blackmailable level of secrets
Rose - wc, lower stakes for everyone but her
Merida - uc, her secrets are fairly low stakes
Murdock - uc, very hesitant on him but depending on who else’s is in the plot he’s a maybe.
