Introducing… Bonnie Blair Greyback

UCHB || Second year || Ravenclaw || NBGF

Bonnie is the younger daughter Murdock Greyback. They are fun and bubbly and try to make lots of friends, particularly amongst the boys. They prefer that people address then by the name Blair as in their mind it is less girlie and allows them to feel more themselves, but accept that Bonnie is their proper form of address. Similarly while they are happy to be called she, he or they, Blair manages to internalise the irritation that their appearance tells people that they are girl.

Schoolfriends

  • First and foremost, Bonnie is a bubbly person, and is usually happily humming a tune to themself making them enjoyable to be around. Bonnie is intelligent and loves school so would get on well with other studious types.
  • Amongst the girls, Bonnie is likely seen as friendly, but a little odd, particularly by the other Ravenclaw girls as they are quite boyish in their behaviour
    and excessively body shy.
  • Among the boys, Bonnie acts more like themself, playing, getting dirty, scuffing knees and all the things a 13 year old boy should be doing. If the boys let them of course. They love to ride brooms and their is no thrill like being upside down at high speed playing chase. In these situations their hair is usually stuffed up inside a hat or braided into a pair of plaits that reach down to their waist
  • In most social situations, if there is a choice, Bonnie will take the male orientated roles, pulling out a chair for their female counterparts, removing spiders, getting their nails muddy on behalf of a lady.
  • Bonnie had been the Ravenclaw seeker since September 1893 and loves it, attention for what they do is much preferable than attention for who they are. Neatly plaited twin scottish braids are the order of the day when playing quidditch.

Teaching staff
  • Bonnie is a good student who is throwing themselves into class, particularly transfiguration and has already decided they want to be an animagus before graduation, preferably even before OWLS come.
  • A few disciplinary issues have occured when Bonnie has felt the teachers are forcing them into a feminine position but this was more in the first couple of terms of first year and Bonnie now has a handle on it. As Bonnie navigates puberty and asserts themself more this will likely rear its head again.

Romance
  • The only romance that concerns Bonnie right is women that might be interested in their father… dont do that, shoo!
Other
  • On Hogsmeade days starting this year, Bonnie is likely to be a handful for chaperones, wanting to run off with the boys and play and perhaps getting in to mischief with the local kids.
  • Bonnie loves their family and misses them when at school and hopes Hogsmeade Days might be a chance to see them a little more.

RE: Introducing: Bonnie Greyback - Charley Goode - June 8, 2024

Millie Potts is a fellow Ravenclaw, and this year they're finally in OWL classes together. I get the sense that Millie and Bonnie are either turned off by the other's social extremes, or they manage to fill what the other lacks somehow. Millie, from what I read in their bio, seems like all the things that Bonnie might not want to be, the struggling student trying to be a good role model, learning to be a proper lady, and willingly living up to others' expectations. Could make for interesting dynamics for a social or classroom encounter, Millie excels at Charms and Transfiguration if Bonnie needs tutoring.

Now, for Charley, she will happily enable any girl (it probably doesn't make sense to her that Blair doesn't see themself as one) who prefers the dress and behavior of a boy. If Blair gets out for Hogsmeade days, Charley would happily introduce them to the fun stuff around town, get their nails dirty, and teach them how to dodge the chaperones more easily. I could see them being easy friends if you're interested, they seem very compatible with Charley.
